Premium Rear Valance on a base bumper??

Anyone out there done a premium rear valance on a base bumper?

Cutting the bumper is a scary thing to do, I have an idea of doing this but always there is a chance of screwing this up.

I have considered doing the same, but came to the conclusion if it wasn't perfect it would bug me.

Once you start cutting your base bumper there is no going back

I thought there was a company/vendor(can't remember what place) on here that was offering that service to members here a good while back. Believe they were in the northeast. Not sure if they had any takers though. Wouldn't mind hearing if they ever did one or their thoughts on it still.

Yes someone did it give a moment and I will find the posts..One guy cut it and another gut ordered a premimum bumper for his base GT car ... not as expensive as you think

That guy dremeled his bumper and it works, but personally I don't think it came out looking as good as it could or the way I personally would like the finish anyway.

yes that is correct, literally for 30 min i had a dremel on my hand debating if i should cut the bumper or not. After a cold brew... well the picture says it all.

Literally 1 day after i custom fab'd the bumper, black premium bumper was up for sale on craigslist for 150... :doh: Someone beat me to it.... :frusty:
