thought about the tru fiber cowl as well. not familiar with their quality though. I just want to make sure it lines up as good as oem. the cervini is pretty spot on and heard nothing but great things about their hoods on s197 since researching cervini and that hood for the s550. I asked cervini about a cow hood too though.

Tru fiber is usally spot on one of the biggest names out there . My advice is with cervini I wouldn't get it painted . Get it shipped to a body shop have them do it. Have had issues with cervini and the paint getting messed up while being shipped . Ya while I like the hood it doesn't scream aftermarket to the normal person . Now a big ass 3in cowl well that screams in a beast hahha

I have to admit, I wasn't really a fan of the Cervini stuff on the S197......it made a "blocky" car even more "blocky".

I pretty much wrote this off when I first saw the photos a few months back, but looking at it now, it really does add a lot of aggression to S550.

The profile and head-on shots really do look great!

yeah i was thinking what a shop would charge to paint the hood and the while they were at it, the side scoops compared to what cervini charges. I have a friend who does body shop work for a living so I should probably ask him... i'm with you though, I might pick a cowl hood over this though as it would still be a similar look to oem....just with the bigger cow.

moto111 who are you planning on getting the cowl hood from? only thing I can find is a preorder listing at mr bodykit

it will probably come down between the cowl and the cervini ram air.

Cervinis quality is pretty good. My pant guy was impressed. I got the lower side scoops and had them installed.

Are the side scoops passive? If so, aren't they a big aerodynamic drag on the air flow?
They are passive but they look great. I'm not too concerned with airflow as they tuck in close to the sides and probably don't cause too much in the way of drag
