I just parked my car in the garage, and while I was wiping it down, I noticed a part that felt a little "tougher" to wipe off than the other little dirt. Turns out that it's a chip in the paint and probably came from a rock or something.
While it's very very small, it still stands out when you're looking at it from a distance, because you can see a solid little spot of white.
I've just ordered some touch up paint from Ford Parts, but I'm wondering if it's better to just have it repainted. I got a quote from a place where I've had some body/paint work done in the past on a previous car and they estimated between $500-600.
I know nicks and stuff will come over the years, but I'm not out on the road every day and would love to get this fixed. I can also feel it when I rub my finger over it.
Any suggestions? Touch up paint worth it? Or have it repainted? Attached pictures of it.
