Anyone doing it? I know Forced Induction is the way to go for gains per dollar, but I have never had a nice high HP all N/A motor and this go around that's my goal. I figure quite a lot of the top end will be swapped out as well as a complete headers+exhaust combo. Just seeing what kind of real world HP gains people are getting staying all motor.

I would like to stay this path as I'm not looking for crazy power, but you pretty much got it, it's going to need head and cam work along with every bolt-on available. I would imagine a slight bore increase (5.0L to ~5.2L) along with slightly higher compression can get you to about 500 RWHP without touching forced induction.

It seems a lot cars with the a tune and a full bolt-on setup is getting about 430-440 RWHP, so the next step would be to start touching the motor itself.

I feel like to do this you will definitely need full bolt ons, a manifold that will allow 7500rpm hp, cams, and e85.

Hm, I would go F/I before I pulled the engine to bore/stroke it. The camaros are able to hit 500 at the wheels with cam/rods/springs/intake/throttle body/headers/exhaust/tune. Was hoping to see if the Coyote could do that, but I guess the LS3 does have an extra 1.2 litres.

For '11-14 it took longtube headers, cams, CJ intake manifold, and revving to 7,500+rpm with a sweet tune to hit 500+rwhp. Ported heads and/or increasing displacement help but aren't necessary.

You'll need full exhaust, intake, cams, e85, tune. Intake manifold helps too, but it's not as easy to fit as the 11-14's. The problem with all motor builds is there aren't a ton of parts out yet, but tons of FI setups.

500 to the crank is intake, tune, e85. Or intake, tune, headers.

Definitely can make 500+whp on stock short block and stock heads, just need cams and high octane fuel.

It'll be interesting to see when dyno'd what the 5.2L flat plane puts out for RWHP.
