My Radar & Dashcam Hardwire

Instead of tapping into the harness with a prong, I cut a very small hole in the harness wires and taped it up from there. Then I tucked the extra wires and circuit board under the headliner. I say circuit board, because I like to open up my cigarette adapters and take the circuit board out. Saves a lot of room.

Hey man I followed this link after you posted the video of your dash cam, my question is, record without the view finder being on? And when you had the video of your car in service, how long did you have to record for while your car was there. At my local dealer sometimes my car will sit there for a day before it even gets touched.

The display goes to sleep after a set amount of minutes that you choose (1-5)

Most dash cam usually hold 32-64gb cards, so that's more than enough and my dash cam only comes on with accessory or ignition.

Looks like you have the same radar detector I do. Doesn't having it up that high block the rear sensor?

Nope, I've done the same thing with my 2012 Mustang and it works fine. I can see my signal go from max to low as I drive past a radar.

Just got my new Transcend dual lens dash cam today and I want to do it right this time by using the fuse box.

Can someone tell me which fuse is the one that stays on for a few hours after you shut your vehicle off?
