Most 18s will not fit the PP.

Almost certainly not.

There are some 18" wheels that are designed with extremely thin interior rims that theoretically could fit, but I haven't seen anybody find one that actually does fit yet.

I have confirmation that the Forgestar CF5s will clear the GT PP brakes in 18"!

Unless they are expensive and designed with thin wall, they will not. I currently have 19x8.5 inch American Muscle AMR Black's mounted on 245/45/19 Blizzak LM-32's on my car, I might have 1/8th of an inch clearance from the front brembos. These are the same wheels that easily cleared the old brembo pack brembo brakes for the 11-14 gt. There is no way in heck a "normal" 18 inch rim will fit.

In comparison to budget 19" wheels you can get, they are kind of expensive.
That's because forgestars are higher quality than these "budget" wheels. Budget wheels are typically cast and weigh more. From a performance stand point, this is a no-no

Except the question is specifically asking about getting snow tires, so "performance" is hardly the main consideration. It's that 19" snow tires are WAY more expensive.

If the car has the performance package, as the OP alluded to, then performance should be a concern per the use of the vehicle. If cheap transportation in snow is the requirement, there are cheaper and safer options than putting snow tires on a Mustang.

Tirerack shows me I can get a set of winter tires and wheels mounted with TPMS for my Mustang for $1450 or so. That's cheaper than any winter beater I could potentially buy (and have to pay to insure and register, etc.).
