I'm from Sydney, Australia.

Ford Australia recommend 5W-30 for the 5.0 Coyte in Australia.

5W-30 is the grade that is printed in our Australian Mustang Owners Handbook.

I'm using Mobil 1 5W-30.

If you live in a hot climate, 5w30 is a good choice.

I'm using BG 5W30 with recommendation from Tim @ Optimum Performance.

I did 4 track days and about 2,000 miles. I'm in race/advance groups at HPDEs. I sent in a sample to Blackstone Labs and got my results back.

The report said, "is this brand new oil?" and "wear is similar to a car with 3,000 gently driven miles." There were no metals present. :clap2:

Tim suggested 5W30 over 5W40 or 5W50 because of the Coyote motor bearing tolerances. I know oil is such a personal preference. But I do know from experience with racing an e46 M3 that motors like certain particular oils. So far I'm happy with BG.

I haven't had any overheating so far. I also run the BG 75W140 and no diff overheating like people have stated. But granted, all of my track days have been in 65-75 degree weather on this oil.

I'll report back after some summer beatings.
