Question for anyone thats used this. So it definitely works but based on videos I have seen I am not getting similar results. I am getting about 85% corrected. Use a RA polisher, applying with a green medium pad, starting at level 3 to spread then bumping to 5-5.5 to break down...when I wipe clear and check I get about 85% of the scratches/swirls out. Not sure if Im not working it long enough or what.

Looking for some advice

M105 is a compound so it will have more cut. What machine are you using?

What do you recommend in terms of speed and pressure on something like that to spread and then work?

That could be why you aren't seeing the same results as the videos. The long throw Rupes machines are going to do more work than the porter cable

It does, thanks everyone...Im starting to think I either have the wrong cutting compound or I am not working the polish long enough

Polish will get ya there just might have to do it a few times. Should've started with a light cut compound first, then finish polish.

So update on this, decided to try a few things last night.

Took a white hex pad with the m105, did a nice job removing most of the defects but left behind a lot of minor scratches. Followed that by sonax perfect finish with a black hex pad, which pretty much took care of everything.

Next section I used just Sonax with the black pad and worked it long enough to where it pretty much looked like there was nothing on the paint...low and behold that did the trick.

Probably because I am still new to this but was surprised such a soft pad such as the black one actually did the trick

I use the Sonax https://tinyurl.com/hc7f6zc with an orange pad and get wonderful results on my wife's black Tundra. Zero halos/swirls after I'm done. Sonax has tremendous working time, and finishes off great compared to the Meguiar's M105 - no dusting.
