So Saturday a local shop had a dyno day. Car made 701/560 with the 3.5 on 93. Max psi was 12.3 according to boost+ box. This was with a street tune. Sent logs to Lund, said he could add 3-4 more degrees if I wanted. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Bdmach1, my c85 came in today and started my tuning with lund. Once tune is good with the 3.5 I will drop down to 3.225.
Nice!

Do you have the ATI 20% damper too??

No sir standard Size.
Ok....that makes more sense now. I have a 3.50" blower pulley with the 20% damper, hoping for 15-16lbs.

Yes sir!

That's the boost i'm hoping for with my 3.225. If it's not there, I may drop down one more size.

Are you running that now? If so, assume e85, what kind of power are you seeing?

I might try this on 93+ Octanium and see what the logs look like. Wondering if anyone else has tried it? I am seeing exactly 11psi on the 3.675 so that should put me at 13psi. According to their latest manual, it doesn't require a BAP until you go smaller. I have the 72lb injectors obviously or I'd be asking for a new motor.

I'm taking the same path as you. Right now I'm running 3.500" on the 6 rib 10 gallons 93 + 5 gallons 104 oct. . I do not have an idea on the boost level as I haven't install my gage yet.

I gained 5 MPH in trap speed from the 3.625" but I'm still frustrated with my results (I want more but safely)

Are you still on the Whipple tune or moved to a different route?

Yes the new Manual says 72lb is ok until 3.375" and until 3.00" with BAP.
Another thing I wonder is what about Octane requirements.

3.625" is OK with 93 Octane
3.500 - ?? Octane
3.375 - ?? Octane
3.250 - ?? Octane

Also at which point it is unsafe to push the bottom end (Boost/Power/Torque).

I'm trying to make an educated decision as well so I moved my concentration to my IRS to improve my lame 1.6494 60' until I decide what to do with Boost/Tune.

I believe I have a 3.250 pulley laying around that I could try with 93+ octanium but i figured the 3.5 was pushing it haha

Ok so now i'm confused. I was pushing avg 12.6psi with my 3.5 upper. Now with my 3.25 upper, I'm at 13.6ish. I'm on a 10-rib so should be belt slip any ideas? Car seems to feel stronger and whistles louder at lower rpm. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

What is there to T/S? With your mods, that seems to be where your boost would be.

I would think two pulley sizes down would give me more that one psi?

Did you do the headers or 10-rib in between switching pulley sizes?

Nope. Same day logs. I talked to Mike at Whipple today. He said that sounds about right with headers, so I ordered a 3.0.
