Just thought I'd share a pic with you guys. 2016 GTPP got pretty good mileage in a 115 mile route. All highway of course. Not too bad considering it's a V8. Overall tank ended up being 23.1 hand calculated once I started driving the car like you're supposed to.

I was definitely expecting worse. Cruising at highway speed the mpg isnt bad even with the 3.73.

Yeah, the car can be quite efficient.

Damn. Nicely done.
What were the weather conditions? All flat ground?

The best I ever did with my S197 GT/3.55 ratio was 27mpg and I was proud of that. Not any more. :D

Ok... now you have to go rip around some back roads a 7,000 RPM to remember why you bought the V8! Report back when your whole car smells of burnt Pirelli. :D

I love the torsen but the 3.73 ratio is too much. 3.55 would have been more ideal.

I got 22-44 when I was stock. I think I'm at 20-21 highway now haha. 15 combined.

Wow ...

More reasons for me to buy a 2017 Ford Mustang GT Premium PP
My Ford Flex gets only 15-18 city, 19-21 why - Ford says Up to 16 city / 23 highway.

I should have gotten a V8

FWIW...and I know people don't want to hear this again...but the higher compression in the 2018's 5.0L and direct injection, there's a very good chance that it will be measurably better in terms of fuel economy.

Impressive! :headbang:
My friend also has a GTPP and when he drove from Northern Va to Myrtle Beach in SC, he only had to fill up once.

When I first got my GT, I thought "Yeah this is gonna be a heavy drinker" but I was quite shocked how well it can be efficient provided you don't "have a good time"

Resetting the computer mpg and coasting on highway don't count.

That gives me hope. I'm averaging about 12mpg in the city right now haha.

Yeah I know, but still hate the front end and 1st year new engine, new tranny,
new tech headaches I could do without. ;)

IMO, it looks like you had just reset the MPG's and are at a very low rpm/speed most likely in a high gear.

The 307 miles to empty divided by 15 gallons is just over 20mpg's, so the 30+ mpg's showing is not indicative of real world averages and just relative to the 1200rpms/50mph for the shot.
