2016 Mustang RS3..Tires??

I can relate to so many posted issues, so I'm curious if anyone has had tires that look like this after 4k miles???? As you can see, tread is not gone, just chunks missing..

Not normal.. Most reasonable explanation I can think of is:

1) Hard launch on a rough road (or driving on rough road in general)
2) burnout ? Maybe there was something sticking up on the road
3) Lastly; defective tires, take them back and try to get new ones in a claim

What are the roads like in your area? That's some serious rubber missing.

Its hard to come around and have something to say about how bad tires are and you baby a Roush Stage 3/670hp car.

I have auto-crossed on a garbage parking lot on the same tires and they didn't look like that.

Normal, like I said this was at 4k miles. IDK, just hope it don't happen again..

Nope, a mom of 4, just barely drive it when it's just me, lol

Tnx for the replies, nothing really changes the fact that I had to replace them, so I guess I am just curious if I'm the only one who had this happen...

I haven't seen any that bad but I have seen some say quality was an issue. Didn't seem to be common, but I have seen it pop up when I was researching picking them up. Ultimately too many negatives for me, so I went with the Nitto NT555G2's. And were only like 100 more.
