Finally completed my project last week.
I started out with full catless ARH exhaust with a JLT intake and made 438/404 on 93. I ended up swapping to a ported Gt350 intake, This combo gave me 456/394 on 93. 458/390 on flex with some E85.

I decided I was going to do OPG and Ati damper so while I was in the engine I did the cam swap. Hardly any extra labor.

My current setup is L&M intake cams, ported CJ ,modified FRPP CAI and a VMP twin 67mm TB. The result is 466/399 on 93 and 478/397 on E85. I'll post a graph showing stock intake no cams to Cj with cams.
Cj with cams is top graph obviously.
If I did it all over I'd go with comp cams and valve springs but this would have added about 1900 to the job. Additional 1900$ worth 10-15whp ? Not really but that's the game. I would like a more aggressive cam setup in the future if I decide to do head work.

Nice setup. Sucks you can't really get to 500 N/A WHP on 93 with these engines without massive work and massive expense. This already is a lot of money, especially if you have to pay the labor, and still not even 500 WHP... arg. Bet it hauls though.

Who's doing the tuning? Seems like the CJ is good for 10-15hp over the GT350. So the 5-10hp gain of the cams doesn't seem to be worth it.

Did you mean twin 67 TB?

I had Rev Auto do the tuning. I copied Shaun at AED setup on his person car that he runs 10.5 @almost 130 with. He did mention in his video he only picked up 9hp peak going to the cj from GT350. It's not just peak I wanted though, I gained a ton of power from 6500-8000 which helps in the 1/4 miles as power doesn't die off. I agree the power from these cams seems minimal for 800$ price but probably similar gains per $ to comps as they are 1500$ and would net about 10 more on non Ported heads.
Yes twin 67

More hp and torque than a gt350!! It looks amazing. Now if you loose some weight from that car and more handling upgrades and rubber, i can see you besting even a gt350r on the road coarse! Amazing built!

While I was told the dyno reads fairly on point if not low they did show me a 2015 car they did Ported heads on with comp cams a non Ported boss and stock tb that made over 500whp on 93.
I believe Shaun at AED made 470s with his in an auto I think with FTW so that's over 500whp on that fuel. My car is just low on numbers.

A friend of mine did Ported 2014 heads and comps with a boss and made 491 on pump. With a cj he would be over 500 on pump. Like you said it's money. His heads were over 2k plus labor.

Thanks! I've actually got pretty much everything for suspension already from BMR. I am using their handling springs and ford track shocks/struts. Bearing and bushing all over.

So with E85, CJ and cams you only picked up 20whp? Am I reading that right?

That's correct. The cams were designed for a max of 20hp with no loss down low like you would see with the Comp cams. I did not expect such low gains. I was told he issue was my car was already making good power with the gt350 so the gains would be minimal. I'm pretty disappointed but I'm not alone, another guy made exactly same number as me with same setup. Either the cams are a flop or the CAI is choking my engine.

I'd be curious what the gt350 would do with the cams.

Does the butt dyno feel better?

I'd say about the same as mine maybe a few less hp and a shorter peak power .
Car feels very strong yes. I've been running just straight be85 since the tune.

I was planning to make the switch to the cj setup but after seeing your results I may wait and see what I gain with the comps when I do opg and cg. If I am close to the 500whp mark on e85 I may still see what happens on the cj. I am sure there will be some gain and it looks way cooler then the gt350im.

Very nice results thanks for sharing. I have a very similar setup CJ intake, frpp cai, vmp twin 67mm tb, and the ARH catless full exhaust haha. I'm Lund tuned but haven't had a chance to hit the dyno just yet. I was thinking of doing OPG at some point just for safe measure reving out and wondering about cams and if its worth it or not.
