Ran into this guy on Facebook. Looks like he makes custom H-pipes for our cars. Has anyone tried this part out yet? Craftsmanship appears very good.

I can't find him on Facebook.

Not sure why. I saw him on one of the Mustang sites on Facebook. Weird. Look in the "2015+ S550 Mustang Group"

How much does he want? They look nice, be interested to know what he makes and what he has made fit.

Does anyone really run H pipes anymore? Thought it has been proven to death an X pipe performs AT LEAST as well torque wise and provides better top end performance.

H pipes also tend to add drone.

But agree, welding looks pretty nice on those.

No drone on my H-pipe with Borla S-Type axle backs. I prefer the deeper sound of an H over the raspy X.

It's also been said here a lot. H gives more torque lower rpm, X gives more higher rpm.

"H-Pipe better at low RPM" which is certainly something the rev-happy Coyote motor needs.

These are so close, guess it comes down to sound preference.

Over straight pipes.

The X and H were identical till ~4000 rpm and then the X gained a small amount after (1-2 HP). This was averaged over 3 runs so it's not just noisy.

Mishimoto showed zero difference on their dyno tests of the two. I think it comes down to sound preference. I prefer the beefier rumble of the H to a raspy X, but that's just me. I love the way my ARH exhaust sounds and it has zero rasp or drone.

Most people that know these cars unless they like a heavy raspy sound are going to pass on an X pipe and choose the H, for a less raspy tone.

They add in cabin drone when compared to an X, in general. Depending on location, can be minimal or be horrid. I have never seen an X add drone but have certainly had some H pipes add interior resonance.

I have the Ford Performance by Borla touring whatever cat-back system the original owner put on.

It does not drone; but it's a bit raspy for my taste due to the X-pipe in it.

I would much prefer an H-pipe sound as that is what reminds me more of my fox body cars.
