My Mustang will get fairly light driving use - a few thousand miles each summer. No track or drag racing and it will be driven pretty conservatively. Does an oil separator/catch can still make sense, or is this more useful for cars that will be driven hard and/or be driven on the track? Thanks much!

An oil separator / catch can makes perfect sense. The key is choosing a system that's right for your car. The 5028-98-SC is the ideal model for the 2015 Mustang GT platform with it's 4 chamber multi-stage oil separation design.

As for the light driving use and no track or drag racing, that's not where the separators are most beneficial. It's the everyday use and vacuum from the intake manifold that draws the oil through the PCV system and allows the oil to build up throughout your throttle body and intake manifold. Leading to octane degradation and buildup in the combustion chambers that reduce mileage and overall crispness of the performance of your vehicle.

I can guarantee that you will be extremely happy with our systems and understand that these systems are every bit as useful as an oil filter. Sorry for the drawn out answer, but I want to be sure you get a better answer than many reply with ( Look at the oil inside and how many people run them blah, blah, blah.... When 99% of the manufacturers that sell them are clueless to how the PCV system even functions )

Hope this helped.

Installed my UPR 5030-98 in less than 30 minutes. My first real mod! I'll report back in 1,000 miles with results.

I installed my 5030-98 as well. It's not my daily driver so I will be a while before I can show results. The build quality was excellent and it's super easy to install.

Just installed mine yesterday, put about 51 odd miles on the car since install and I already had a bit of oil collected. This was super easy to install and it's working like a charm. Thanks Joe!

I'm just happy that oil is no longer going into intake manifold. Will keep you guys posted on next 300 miles.

UPR,
Could you post a pic showing all three finish options for the 5030-98, or a link to one.
Thx,
