Just arrived today. Looks great.

Yea I just couldn't justify the upfront cost of running a 15 inch. I do however wish there were more options for the front wheels/tires.Once I get a pair of rear 17" wheels, that's exactly the route I'm going. Unless I get crazy and go 15's....but I doubt it.
It's a DOT legal tire that you can run on the street, or in drag classes that require a DOT legal tire.Would one of yall help me understand why these or better than Hoosier slicks? Are you running these on the street?
So this tire isn't any better than true slicks? It's a DOT legal tire that you can run on the street, or in drag classes that require a DOT legal tire.
OP, what rear wheel are you running? Are you running bias ply skinnies up front too?
I've got some cheap Cobra R replicas for the rear. 17x9.5 I think. These are said to be 11.5 wide but measure to 10.5 from what I've read. No front runners yet, just going to see how these do and decide what to do later. I rarely race on the track so this was almost not even worth it for me already. It's a DOT legal tire that you can run on the street, or in drag classes that require a DOT legal tire.

Nothing is better than a true slick but I can drive to the track with these tires without an issue. So this tire isn't any better than true slicks?
Yea it can get sketchy but I'm going to ease into this setup to see how it does for me. The reps are like 18lbs which is heavy for a 17. Theybhave never been on my car so I can't say 100% but several guys on here and ACMR run they without issues. If I did it over again I'd just get some race stars on sale and get fronts one at a time or something. I paid like 230$ for 2 shipped btw.Be careful without front runners. Some people have issues running bias rear/radial front at speed. How much do those Cobra R's weigh, and how is the fitment on the S550? I was looking at getting some racestar rears, but if the cobras are cheap and fit ok might do that.
Jegs had the best price. I posted a link here or the other thread. If you dont mind where can I purchase one of these. Thanks in advance
