First track trip with the Whipple

hey guys just got back from the track yesterday thought I post up my #'s for you guys heres some info on my car

2016 5.0
Whipple 2.9 3rd gen
stock motor & trans
stock suspension
stock converter
fore innovations fuel system
car was tuned on pump e85 by Eddie at addiction motorsports

weather was 65 degrees and DA was about 1200ft

That's impressive. With my lack of shifting I'd probably be a full second slower but even then I would be happy.

thanks man I was really happy with the car for its first time out still getting it dialed in I gotta get some BMR suspension on there

Do you have a roll bar in yours? With so many cars running so fast so easily I wonder what everyone is doing. Is it still required at faster than 10.5 or has that change?

Also what tires were you on?

Nice pass how much boost ?

Seems like this new gen 3 has bridged the gap between the turbo cars. Turbo cars running 15 psi are running 9.20 -9.30 with the same mph to the 1/8 and the 1/4.

I bet the car has about 300lbs or more of weight reduction.. Whatever it is, its hauling ass.. Maybe this new blower really is something.

This will brighten up some shade for me.

there is no question a fuel system and
e85 w custom tuning is a game changer
no matter which blower gen2 or 3

The turbo cars I was making reference to also run E85, E85 is typically worth 80 - 100 rwhp over 93 as you can run 4 - 6 deg more timing advance.

Lethal went 150 mph with MS 109 and a gen 2 at I believe 21 psi with a stock motor and MT 82.
