Unless I've missed any, I think this is the nearest we've had so far. Would love to see some comparison shots of the two together, under the same lighting conditions, etc

Knew I could rely on you, thanks Sean

Amazing how much more tied down, hunkered, S550 looks. I know the rear deck height is a couple of inches lower, but it looks a LOT more than that, visually :)

I like the updated avatar pic, too!

Awesome! The "real life" comparison truly shows how even small sizing differences can really transform the overall character of the car! And for the first time, I'm so happy with the wheel "gap" (the lack of) and rake on the stock vehicle.

I have to say, the S197 looks like a whale next to the S550. The rear of the 14 still looks great but the rest of it just looks instantly dated to me. Especially the stance and roofline profile and that wheel gap, thank god!

I agree. And yes it does look "dated" as the basic design came out in 2004 as a 2005 model year. But that is a good thing. :)

Wait until we see the 14 Camaro next to the 15 Mustang. Or the challenger.... it'll look like they each put on 200 lbs. :eyebulge:

Not really better. The 2014 is too squeezed in from side to side.

Really puts things in perspective. I love the lower profile and sleeker appearance on the S550.

I was thinking if I didn't like this one I'd get a steal on a 14, but seeing them side by side there is no doubt I will get an S550

Wow, the 2014 looks like a brick compared to the 2015! Crazy how it's just as wide and long, that fastback design and factory lowering really makes it look slippery.

Almost like the 2014 is a whale (with that gaping maw) and the 2015 is a shark.

It's interesting how each styling change has generated comments that the previous revision looks "dated". I saw those comments when the 1994 came out, the 1999, the 2005, the 2010, and now the 2015. I think this indicates that the styling revisions, for those who like each subsequent new style, are "working".

For those who don't like the evolution, I surmise there's a lot of love invested in the way your current car looks - certainly understandable.

I still love the 1990 Nissan 300ZX even after all this time.

It's really hard to compare the two when photoshopping them as you never truly have the proportions right. The 2014 looks to skinny and too tall. The proportions are off. Look how tall the wheels look on the 2014. Those are either 19 in or 20 in rims on the 2015 but I don't think the 2014 has that large of a wheel.

The 2015 sits a little lower and the roof is definitely lower...but it's really hard from these pics to see much else. I really hope someone has some better angles from the side and rear at some point so we can truly tell.
