Well the OP wanted to know if there was a solution.

Many of you have shimmed the trans down, with success. I myself have experienced similar success.

So that said, this is not a BMR part # or an "official" part....but I spent some time putting together some hardware if any of you are interested.

Two options.

1: Adjustable Shim Kit. $40 shipped
-Adjustable from .068" to .396" using (6) shims per mount that are .068" thick
-(4) new Grade 10.9 bolts that are proper length to account for shimming, with zinc coated washers

2: Fixed Shim Kit. $47 shipped.
-Fixed .250" shim kit.
-(4) Stainless Steel shims, precise fit, that are .250" thick
-(4) Grade 10.9 Bolts for proper thread engagament, with zinc coated washers.

If you want these, you have to call me. They are not a specific BMR product and do not have a specific part # - I have to manually enter the products.

Throwback to 2014 when I was building my 2015.

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=343868&postcount=89

Our loop material was 1/4" thick - and I had sandwiched it between the trans crossmember and the chassis. This paired with stiffer diff bushings worked well - VERY well with the Shaftmasters DS I had (and still have) in that car. Smooth as butter to 170mph.

Just throwing that link out there, so you guys can see how much experience and knowledge you get with us backing your vehicle platform. ;)

Trans Flange : -2.0 deg
Diff Pinion : +4 deg.

added 4mm shim cuz that was all I had. It measured between -2.5 to -3.0 degrees after shimming

I havent test drove yet. I will let yall know how it feels for my 50 mile commute

I am seeing alot of EBM Auto cars have issues.

Recently worked with a guy who has one that he drag races, and he had a DSS 1pc shaft that vibrated pretty bad. We did a few shim tests and he has now reported that it is great with .250" of shims between the trans crossmember and the chassis.

I feel like I need 1/4" = 0.250" = 6.35mm shim to be more closer to where I need to be. I will test drive today but probably will have to get help from BMR on getting correct size shim and longer bolt for proper thread engagement.

Thank you for shining light on this subject Kelly

vibration btw 45 to 60 is eliminated. i can see through my rear view mirror now. However there is still vibration at 75 to 85 mph. may need to add more shim as 4mm helped but didnt hit home run just yet

While I do not have familiarity with automotive drive shaft alignment, I do with large commercial electrical motors coupled to pumps. In today’s age laser alignment is the norm for set up of the vertical and horizontal of both angular and radial positions of the shafts . The use of precision slotted shims to mate an electric motor to a baseplate is common place. All for longevity and vibration.

BMR suggests to drop the transmission I will not dispute that but it only address the horizontal angular position. From the transmission flange to the mounted carrier bearing the area is subject to suffer NVH with any trueness of the shaft issues and or off alignment of vertical and horizontal of both angular and radial positions. The carrier bearing mounting and construction may act as the NVH conduit to the chassis in these cases.

In my field motor and pump shafts are not constrained by a chassis tunnel hindering the use of laser alignment equipment that I am familiar with.

what about shims between the carrier bearing mount and the surface it bolts to?
