Hey very nice write-up. I am kind of in your shoes-in Chicago area and look for a dealership that knows what this thing is and don't charge me crazy! The one I find quotes me $300 for installation...Would you mind telling me which dealership you went to? Feel free to PM and thanks!
I went to...
Thanks again. My concern is that my 3/36000 factory warranty is going to expire in 7 months, so I am trying to figure out if paying ~150 to have someone install it for me would be better than if I do it myself.
I understand where you are coming from. I guess my point is that since my Ford factory warranty is going to expire in 7 months, it is really indifferent for me to spend $200 having a Ford dealer install it or me installing it myself, since after the warranty expires FP is not going to cover any...
Thanks for your explanation. I bought this car on March 2015, so the 3/36000 thing will expire in ~ 7 months. I guess in this case, I would just install it myself as the warranty is going to expire soon anyway. Do you know if I install myself, would it affect any part of the factory warranty? (I...
For those who have experience with this package, 2015-2017 MUSTANG 2.3L ECOBOOST PERFORMANCE CALIBRATION KIT, could you share some thoughts on that? Is it worth the money? How much does it cost to install this thing? The local dealer told me the installation is around $300, is that reasonable...
I see. I believe the Cobb tuning is definitely worth it. Does it void your warranty though? I am thinking about the Ford calibration kit, which seems to make warranty intact.
I totally agree with you. What do you mean by wheezing at 5K? For my EB, I pull all the way to redline without tuning, but I only got 100 mph on that. Also, in the last a few laps, the engine oil temperature gauge needle almost reached the yellow line, which made me a bit worried and decided to...
Very Very nice driving! Your line is better than mine. What mod do you have in addition to MPSS? You increase the horse power at all? You reached 110 at the last straight while my fastest there is only 100...
That being said, I thought 1:45 is a bit stretch without engine tuning. I thought...
I see they use ShipNex and also read about some comments on ShipNex. What is your experience with ShipNex? Do they normally do it on time or have they ever lost your thing?
I would also like to share a little bit about my experience taking my EB without PP to Track. So far I tracked four times at Gingerman raceway in Michigan. The only mod I have in the most recent one (last weekend) is MPSS tires (285/35/18 square setup)+Apex wheel+XP10 brake pad front+XP8 brake...
I literally think the most important mod that should be prioritized is wheel/tire and brake pad, if track is where you intend to use those mod for. Getting a good set of tires/wheel is a lot more important. Just my 2 cents
Yeah that includes packing. But even without packing they say they will charge similar. I will just throw the wheel into the box, that is all for packing right?
Dear all,
I unfortunately bent my wheel at last track session and will have to ship the wheel back to the manufacturer, who will give me a new wheel at half price, but I will have to ship it myself. My question is how do guys always ship wheel? I went to Fedex and UPS, both of which ask ~100$...
It takes me ~ 25 mins to drive to the dealership last morning. I probably drove another 30 mins or so under that condition Tuesday night. Now the car is at the dealership for repairing. I hope they will do a comprehensive job there.
I am not sure the exact oil temperature, but the needle on the meter almost goes to the all the way on the right after ten mins' normal driving. They are now waiting for a new hose to replace the old one
So just a little update on the issue.
I suddenly realized that I lost tuburbo boost yesterday on my way back home and also realized the oil temperature is very very high after 10 mins normal driving. I smell similar thing driving in driver's seat. So I took the car to dealership this morning...
