Underwhelming unfortunately. I had very high expectations despite the small weight gain. I'll wait for proper track and comparo tests before passing any more judgements.
Just my opinion but I don't think stripes will work as well on the new generation as they did on the old. Can you picture stripes on Callums other brilliant accomplishments....the XK, his Astons?? Not appropriate IMO.
Brilliant post Aipaloovik, couldn't have had a more similar experience with my '05 after suspension, supercharging, etc, etc. Had the pleasure of owning an '11 M3 for a couple of years but just wasn't satisfied with the "in town" performance all of the time. If our new cars can manage to blend...
Ditto. You get what you pay for IMO. For those serious about a dramatic new look and nothing else.....a $400 wheel (or less) might serve you just fine. But if you're interested in a dramatic new look AND a significant weight savings over the VERY HEAVY factory wheels, you'll spend the money...
Wow, been away on vacation and came back to this info. Normally I take months to figure out which a/m wheels to fit on my vehicles, particularly ones suited to occasional HPDE days. You guys at HRE/Flow Form are the best and have saved me lots of time. I've never owned but always wanted HRE...
If the GT can manage to squeak in anything under 4, the hype will be just incredible!! Fingers crossed, it won't be long before some of the first group of production vehicles make their way to the auto mags.
Devon I'll end this pricing discussion because you and I don't option our vehicles the same way. Having said that, I still think you're being a bit optimistic with your $55 estimate. If you're looking at one with minimal options and virtually none of BMW's traditional packages, I suspect...
If you think you'll be able to buy an M2 in Canada for $55k CDN, you've been seriously misinformed about what the pricing is expected to be. A loaded M235 (and you'd have to get it fully optioned to match the content of a GT the way you want it) lists for about $60k CDN right now so next years...
Gorgeous car Husker!! And in my mind that's how I think of Wimbledon White. Some of the press photos for our car look similar, most of the real pics (like the ones Topnotch has posted, God bless him) look like they could be Oxford. I'm hoping some are actually because Ford is being a little...
My hope for the near future: Ford will have noted the frustrations expressed by LE purchasers over the "what exactly is NOT included" list and will set the record straight via an Order Guide update or something equally official.
My only fear: Ford is not particularly concerned about...
