Just about any other conceivable minimalist interior would have been fine with me. If anything they did not go far enough with the minimalism here.
The wheel looks like an off-brand video game racing controller, the paddles comically contradict a minimalist aesthetic, the MFT screen and A/C...
Hah! That's hilarious that we both thought Cylon.
I would honestly prefer a carbon-fiber tub with a Nascar style dash and the most generic Recaros available to what's in this, if simplicity was the goal. Feels like serious effort was put into making this as aesthetically displeasing as...
I could totally get over the hideous placement of the tail pipes on this otherwise stunning car, because I would never see them, and I could even get over the lack of the V8 after hearing this beast breathe on the video, but goddamn if that's not the ugliest interior of any supercar I have ever...
OMG that interior... :eyebulge: they even made the rear seat delete look good...
I hope the embroidered "R" on the headrests will match the exterior color... that would be a nice touch o' class.
And am I the only one who likes the idea of the badges being red? I could do without the calipers...
Saw my first S550 IRL today, a Guard Ecoboost sitting in the parking lot of my office complex. All I can say is: Stunned. Aaaaaand sold.
The color is everything I hoped it'd be and more, got to see it under the Texas midday sun and then under heavy cloud cover a couple minutes later. No...
Right? That was like the worst of two worlds; a whiny pop voice on repeat plus the intro of a trap/edm song that never gets going. Epic music fail.
The LEDs don't seem to move with the same timing as the taillights. If they're out of sync after installation, the effect will lose all it's oomph...
That means the suitcase would still be there though, right?
This exhaust sounds incredible (best yet for sure), but I wonder what the weight savings would be installing a CB vs an AB...
:clap2: Spectacular!
Smoked signals with these wheels looks perfect on Oxford White. The redline seats really dial up the contrast too. Might have found a runner up if Guard doesn't do it for me IRL.
This pic leads me to believe that the "muddy grey" pics of Guard that we've seen are just a dirty car in daytime shadow and a crappy camera. You can see how in this pic the blue/green is difficult to make out except for where the sun is hitting the paint, if it weren't so clean it would...
The 2012 Boss only weighed 1lb less than a 2013 GT PP? That's bananas.
Also, can't help but wonder if the engineers at Ford added any vinyl to the '15 PP during these track tests. A "MUSTANG" windshield sticker could definitely explain the 1.5s advantage. It's a little early to give all credit...
Thanks for that, I like your adjusted versions even more... :frusty:
Can't wait to finally see a Guard/Saddle GT PP in person, I still have no idea what to expect.
Down with the olive on the focus. Down with this green. Down with the kind of slate blue color but I wish it was greener. Down...
I'm not going to pretend that an EB was ever in the cards for me, but my impression so far is that it's kind of a bust:
The torque curve drops off at 5k RPM.
Gas mileage is not impressive enough and the mandatory 93 octane eliminates whatever gasoline savings you would get anyway.
The heavily...
$18k or less out the door would leave me with a decision to make.
In other words, the price of the '14GT would have to reflect the fact that the S197 is only half as good looking and only has half the interior quality of the S550.
