When I purchased this car, it had grill lights on it and at the time, I thought they worked, but they don't. Any suggestions on where I can check to find out why they don't turn on?

Now that I’ve done some research on the nGauge tuner, I realize that the previous owner had one installed but removed it before selling the car. Seeing that the price of these range anywhere from $500 to $700, I can see why he took it with him.
As far as I know, my car is not tuned. I just bought it six months ago and I’m still learning about everything that the prior owner put on the vehicle. It has an Injen cold air intake, which came tuned for the vehicle.
