If anyone has a base Ingot Silver Mustang, and was wondering about Plasti Dipping the rear bumper cover to look like the premium trim...
Here's a picture of my Plastic Dipped Ecoboost next to a V6. It also shows the difference between with/without the spoiler.

I agree with the consensus that the rear end looks better on the premium in lighter colors. As I have an Ingot Silver EB I decided to Dip the rear. It's my first time, but I decided to follow the Premium look rather than the full black lower - which would have been much simpler.
I had issues...
I would also prefer the EB at 75% or so for the sides... Or Turbo in Porsche style script. Stressing 2.3 seems to makes the car sound slower than it is.
Edit: Make that 50%... It doesn't want to be too large.
I really like the EB symbol, but I think it would be more interesting if the E was rounded in the middle to be symmetrical to the B, with the only difference being the E's gap to the center upright...
Edit: This is what I was thinking...
Edit 2: Made the E and B the same width (by eye)
How high up does the sound appear to be coming from? My EB has an intermittent rattle from the light switch control, which makes it seem like it's coming from the base of the A pillar.
I would prefer this over the text. As you state the text needs a higher resolution print to work best.
Another option would be to have a rectangular cutout and a label reverse printed on plastic which clips in.
Keep up the good work!
Wow!
Any chance of hi-res versions... My wife sells nature and other photography and I love to use one of her canvas suppliers to get the silhouette image for my office!
Excellent work.
I'm fortunate to have both... I bought a set of the premium wheels to fit winter tires, and ordered my base Ecoboost with the Foundry alloys.
I like both, but for me I feel the Foundry alloys just edge it. The base premium wheels would be slightly better if they were 19s, they look a little...
Try out the Nokia Here Navigation app if you have an android phone. It let's you cache whole countries and does not need a data connection after that. It's very similar to Google Maps...
How many miles do you have on your car?
Some of the issue may improve as the seat padding wears in. Originally I found it very uncomfortable, but as I reached 1000+ miles either I'd broken in the seat, or the seat had broken me in... I'm approaching 3000 miles now and I find the seat to be OK -...
I also found the lumber support to be too low, but with it retracted all the way I don't find the seat uncomfortable - which I did for the first 500+ miles.
I'm now even moving the support forward a bit...
I don't have a V6, but my base Ecoboost is likely to be pretty similar as it has the same wheel size (51A style) and suspension setup. I fitted 235/15r18 Michelin X-Ice3 tires and I've been very happy so far. I haven't had to drive in deep snow, but it handles everything else well.
The main issue I have in SE Michigan is due to my car not being garaged... The windows freeze up and don't allow the door to open/close properly.
I've started dropping the windows 5-10mm before I get out which overrides the auto drop/rise and I can then open the door without pulling the glass...
There seems to be a high density of S550s in SE Michigan. If you see an Ingot Silver Ecoboost in Novi (13 mile)... There's another Ingot Silver (GT) in Novi (10 mile ish).
Color is a very personal decision, and I would never disagree with anyone's choice. I wish I could have gone with a bright color - and might have gone Grabber Blue if it was available, but ended up with Ingot Silver which I also love.
The only color I've been disappointed by has been Guard - I...
I haven't had much bad weather so far, but the 235/50r18 winter tires give a lot of confidence in the cold. Narrower tires would bite through the snow better, but so far so good!
