theres a pic floating around of a 1969 skinned mustang station wagon- dated 1965. it takes a few years to design/build tooling/etc...its really pretty amazing they keep them under wraps as well as they do, when you consider the near final clay models must be done years in advance...
would expect these guys to offer something- popouts might not give the open/hardtop look, but they sure vented the ca well...my 69 didnt have air, the pop outs did a great job of circulating quiet airflow...our 65 galaxie has the vents below the rear window that worked awesome too...
I am really surprised ford hasnt flattened the v6 to 120 degrees- with a 120 crank, you would get similar bank-to bank exhaust mismatch to get a more V8 like sound, plus the benefit of reduced height for the hood- the s197 bay I
*think* would handle the extra width, dunno how tight the s550...
I think for europe, you are on the likely track- I'd go so far as to not be surprised if the EB 1.0 might even make it into a 'pony' version over there- power to weight wouldnt be to ridiculous by european general transportation expectations. with a 8 speed or CVT it would be a adequate setup...
mustang fan, but very partial to the 69-70, and 05-09 body lines... we have a 69 on a spit, it has sat in my garage since I parked it in 1984, finally started on it this july, but kids project cars have put it on the back burner the last couple months...
december of 05 picked up a 06 gt stick...
I'm 'happy, happy, happy' - just paid off the 09, didnt want another car payment for a while, and this version wont be changing my plans :)
I hope it does well, am sure it will perform great, the interior looks awesome, but to my minds eye the outside just dont scream 'buy me' like the one in...
the bumper looks flush or even slightly shorter than the top/nose... I kinda miss the bumper projecting out, always thought the flatnose was one of the camaros weaker points:shrug:
if that IS the real frontend, I just wish it woulda been on the Mustang first, then carried over to the fusion...they both look OK, but timing says now the mustang is getting fusion styling, instead of the other way around...
I just generally dislike the whole 'corporate look' philosophy- but...
maybe they dont need the cradle at all- couldnt they further save weight by letting the spring/shock sit ala-S197? just add lower cradle only- not a 'IRS Module', would need assembled in pieces, but think it could be both lower and lighter:shrug:
video of a virtual pivot setup on a G8:
should allow more wheel depth without messing up ABS steering pull due to scrub radius that usually increases with wheel depth...maybe the deepdish wheels will return someday :)
just saw this one on another forum, think its the best overall Ive seen yet...something about the size of the lights/inline with a trim line that makes sense, and the fender curve looks very mustang-like... a lot of the renderings ive seen had the lights set a tad high or angled up- looks like a...
