I hope that subtext was added to try and make their renderings and claims of a 3,400 pound S550 Mustang sound more plausible. Otherwise, that's a pretty sh*tty move on Car and Driver's part.

Do you have this issue? If so, could you scan a couple of the full-production pictures? We've seen the face of the 2015 Mustang and something about the Car and Driver cover just seems off to me. Then again, it could just be how the car is positioned on the C&D cover that's seemingly throwing...

I think you may be right, but something tells me neither transmission option will be offered until several years after the 2015's release.

That looks very plausible in terms of what the next-generation Mustang will offer. I love how they changed the engine displacement sizes +/- 0.1 liters to throw people off, haha. Twin Turbo, yes, Ford and GM are currently collaborating on 10-speed transmissions for their respective RWD...
