I have sync 2. I also changed my gauge cluster and can change the cluster color through the dash option screen. I’m not aware of any way to change the colors on the external module through the dash or through sync 2/3. The color can only be changed with the external button provided with the module.

This is the module that I used. Works great.

The control module is tapped into the parking lights, so when they turn on, the cup holder, sills and footlights turn on automatically.

yes it still needs to be wired by you because there’s no pre-existing wiring harnesses on cars that were not equipped with “My Color” from the factory. The control module that i have has an external button for changing color which I installed in the dash.

  8. DIY MyColor center cluster install

It does not. I bought sills and center console from a wrecked Mustang with the “My Color” option. I then had to buy an aftermarket harness and controller to get the sills and cup holder to light up and change colors

Does anyone know of any Forscan as-built values that will allow Mycolor to work during daylight ( essentially disabling the light sensor on the dash )? Obviously I could just put tape over the sensor, but I would rather disable it with Forscan if that is possible.

  11. Drive Modes Enabled!

I think you might be right. I temporarily installed my stock gauge cluster today and the helmet and S+ were orange. I checked every module on Forscan and couldn't find any differences between the two gauge clusters. Yet my stock cluster shows driving and steering modes in orange while the...

My Ecoboost abs doesn't have the firmware for line lock. I need to buy a used GT abs/pump, install, bleed the brake system, and then I can enable it with Forscan.
  13. DIY MyColor center cluster install

I haven’t changed the VIN on the cluster. I was concerned that I would lose the Mycolor functionality. I’ll definitely put in VIN in and see what happens with line lock.

I enabled Line Lock but it's greyed out. Looks like I need to swap the ABS module with a GT module to get it working.
  15. Drive Modes Enabled!

Can someone with a base model Ecoboost Mustang, who has enabled driving modes and has the orange helmet for race mode, please post their configuration numbers for the IPC. I’d like to compare their config to mine. Obviously I can’t use my as-built configuration from the factory since my car did...
  16. Drive Modes Enabled!

Mine was orange at one point, but I’ve made several changes to the IPC. I didn’t realize the color change until today. Not sure which block changed the color. I’ve seen other people on YouTube with blue.
  17. Drive Modes Enabled!

I enabled my driving modes. Everything works perfectly. Just curious, my little helmet and S+ are white while everyone else I have seen is orange. Anyone have any idea why? I’m assuming it’s a setting in the IPC.
  18. DIY MyColor center cluster install

Well, I figured it out. I temporarily re-installed my original cluster and took a picture of the IPC as-built data. Then I put the premium cluster back in and compared the as-built data. There were several blocks that were slightly different, but when I changed block 720-04-02 from xxxx-02D7...

Yeah that’s 720-02-02. I changed that from 1A to 08. Still getting the same message at startup.
