For strictly video I have been using GoPro Hero 8 for last few years. Never an issue personally.
For OBDII data I started with GoPro +track addicts+ OBD BT module+ GPS module. That is the simplest data logging (with most accurate timing) set up
For coaching then the catalyst but I prefer to...
I started doing that as well or at least tried to. But even at 29 my memory is terrible so I just swap diff and trans at the beginning of every season. Itās unnecessary but at least I know Iām starting on fresh fluid and itās easier to track. Plus fresh diff fluid allows me to get away for now...
Iāve seen a few different answers. From those who I know see more track time than me have said every year and some by the hours/events. By the miles I am about 10k over.
āBiggsy went through it so WItoTX wouldnāt have toā lol.
Thatās big reason for me putting my experience out there. I thought I was being proactive but looks like I missed a few things. Oil changes after every event pretty much. Couldāve just been a freak accident. But yea do the most you can so...
I accept responsibility whether it was for lack of maintenance or wrong fuel. Very expensive lesson but to look on the bright side once I swap the new engine in, I will be able to take this one apart and learn to build an engine at my own pace. One of my dream builds is an endurance SN95 Coyote...
Sorry I misspoke. I just checked my datalogs. Car never went above 210. I donāt think I ever venture off in the 220s. I shift lower and I run 60% water plus water wetter. Also have a heat shield underneath the manifold.
And honestly it could be lack of maintenance on my part. I track my car and am still on original plugs from when I bought the car. I shouldāve changed them more often. Some people say once a year. My mechanic said they were gapped out of spec and were toast
Yea Iāve been thinking how I couldāve avoided this. My shift point is pretty low given the capability of what it can be. Shaun said I can go to 7700 but I shift at 7300 for heat management. I did hear/read that road Atlanta is hard on engines. But detonation occurred and the way to prevent that...
Yea agree. It was on my list of things to do eventually. I feel like itās one of those things that will just make you feel a bit better about your car lol whether or not it is beneficial.
We donāt need a 5 car garage with 2 post lift but it makes you feel a bit better about your residence. Same...
But who knowsā¦if I hit a 20 leg parlay today on Fan Duel you guys might see me with a new GT4 engine by next week lol.
Gotta make some light in a time of darkness.
