Dang man! Are you running the Eforce kit as-is or do you have other mods? Also what tires are you running?
I'm running stock PP wheels with stock size Nitto 555 G2's which seem pretty decent on the street as long as I'm rolling.
Last night I may, or may not have had a run in with a modded SS...
Hey guys thought I'd follow up and update my post from a couple months ago. I'm sorry it took so long. We have a new addition to the family so I haven't been able to drive or work on my 5.0 as much as I'd like to, but have made some progress!
The Edelbrock tune is good to go and my rev hang...
Overall I'm pretty happy with the Edelbrock tune with one caveat (that may or may not actually be an issue as I haven't even tried to resolve it yet). The car seems to rev hang at about 2k rpms while I'm rolling but off the throttle only to drop down to idle once the car is stopped. I pinged...
Haha, oh man I wish I saw your post before I did my install. After I installed the 1586 kit on my '17 I was getting the same boost lag on the test drive. Luckily enough my mechanic buddy and I figured it out in a few minutes, added some clamps and everything was good.
Before I installed the...
Torinate I saw your PM, thought I'd post my response here.
Bought my kit on Ebay today for $4700 shipped. Seemed like too good of a deal to pass up.
The seller had 2 listed, I got the 2nd.
I'm sure you'll find one at a good price if you keep an eye out.
I just picked up an Edelbrock 2300 stage 1 kit for an absolutely killer price. Will be installing on my 17 base model performance pack.
Plan is to run it as-is with their 91 tune for a while. Thinking 525-550whp will be plenty for a fun car that will surprise some heavy hitters on the street...
I had the same problem with the PMAS being angled up. Mine was exacerbated even more because I have a GT350 throttle body which requires the adapter and pushes it out even further.
I was able to get the PMAS to clear the hood with this setup but it took some tweaking. The silicone coupler...
I'm running a GT350 throttle body with an adapter plate (the one that came with the PP2 kit) that I ported to transition smoothly to the 2018 manifold. Lund tuned for it and it seems to be working perfect so far.
Yup. When cruising at ~2k rpms in 6th gear my car feels fine. No problems on the highway in cruise control at 65mph.
If anyone is interested I ended up quitting trying to get the 18 manifold to work with the PP2 tune. I ported my 18 manifold, locked out the IMRCs, upgraded to 47lb injectors...
Yes, I'm running a PP2 tune. I imagine the IMRC tables in the PP2 tune are the same as the stock tables since it's the same IMRC hardware.
Yes, there's no question that tuners can swap in the 2018 IMRC tables so they work or just turn off the IMRCs altogether.
The question is can the 2018...
I respectfully disagree with this. I've had my 18 manifold w/PP2 tune revved to 7200rpms and it didn't lean out according to the factory AFR gauge. Pretty sure the PCM on these cars can adjust WOT fueling.
When I was looking into what could be causing the P2005 code I read that the PCM...
Adrian in the article it mentions swapping over the 2018 IMRC tables in the tune.
Can you expand on this at all? Is swapping over the 2018 IMRC tables in the tune required to make this swap work without throwing codes?
I think there are probably a decent amount of people out there who are...
Ok. Your pic makes it look a little like you have the IMRC port (the one that comes out of the front of the manifold horizontally) hooked to the brake booster.
I know what you mean about the P2005 code. I'm getting the same one. It would totally make sense to me that the IMRCs won't work right...
