Just came out of a Bimmer with the DCT. Yes, it was faster than the MT, but I missed rowing my own gears. When I got in the 5.0 it had to be MT.

I've had a couple including a Mazdaspeed MX5. Super fun cars to drive and the aftermarket is huge. I've also had a couple of MCS's, so you already know what you are in for. They don't have much power, but when you get in the mountains there ain't much better

I bought because it was time to upgrade. I was able to work a good deal with the X plan and my trade. I'm not real keen on buying first year models, because I've dealt with those issues before. Depends on the individual situation as to jump or wait.
