UPDATE, the car has been at the dealership for two weeks now and they've been only able to determine that the noise is related o the engine or transmission. Either a issue between cylinders 3 and 4 or perhaps an issue with flywheel/clutch. Frustrating that it's taken them so long to get only...
Dealer can't figure it our and wanting to see if anyone has experienced this. A noticeable metallic rattling/spinning noise coming from what seems to be coming from center of the car at precisely 3800RPM and above in neutral, stopped or accelerating. Makes no difference. No previous clutch or...
Own a 16' Grey with resonator delete. Heading back from lunch today and sure enough in my rear mirror I see a menacing murdered out 2017 Camaro ZL1. Perfect timing as I was entering the on ramp. Romped on it from 2nd through 4th and man o' man did we make some noise. I can't get over how...
Headed to Circuit of the Americas in Dec. and want to be sure I'm in good shape to get the most out of the track. Have about 25% tread remaining and wanted to get thoughts on acceptable/safe minimum tread level for a track day on Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, realizing of course that there...
Totally understand your frustration and no doubt it will get replaced. It may take a bit but everything has a solution and this is a no brainer. Actually, the size of the scrape works in your advantage.
Remind them that you understand shit happens but these are the opportunities for them to...
One track day with roughly 50% pad remaining and squealing loud just before coming to a stop. Annoying as hell .What is more concerning is that when hard on the brakes, daily driving, the car struggles to stop and ABS kicks big time. No soft pedal feel, but rotors feel liked they are glazed.
Had the exact same issue. Replaced the evap coil and thought it was resolved, then later this evening it seems to be struggling again to keep cold. Blows cold but comes and goes. Back tot he shop on Monday.
I assumed that with heat from the transmission there would be a increase in pressure and that could have pushed the line out. Dealer indicated that the transmission has a pressure bleed valve. Can anyone confirm that?
Thanks guys for the feedback. Shop welded AN fitting today should be a solid set up now. I have another track day next weekend so will report back with the outcome.
Perfect track day at MSR to test out the FP cooler addition. Solid first session and then as the trans started to warm up I turned on the pump. Good for about 5min and then it started to get squirmy around the bends. Thought it me getting used using track mode for first time and then lost it...
Thanks to the info and great advice from forum members was able to resolve dreaded limp mode. Took 6 months of research and digging but finally was able to get the FP transmission cooler/pump installed and used Forscan to enable temp gauge on center screen. No more limp mode!!
Also was able to...
Thanks! Not familiar with how Forscan works but assuming it can't be terribly difficult. I searched the forum and couldn't find any specific threads on it. Any help with a link would be greatly appreciated.
16' Tech having FP cooler installed tomorrow. Saw a recent You tube video where there was a Trans temp gauge center screen. Don't have that on mine. Any suggestions as to how to get that reading on the center screen or any other option to monitor temp real time? Want to make sure the cooler is...
Sorry, I phrased my question wrong. It was more of a fitment concern. I was referring to the install procedure and whether it made a difference installing the cooler first and then the pump or do you have to install the pump first.
I am dropping the car off next week at a performance shop to...
Purchased the listed parts so much appreciate the info and guidance . Did want to ask though if it makes any difference logistically speaking to install the cooler before the pump or vice versa?
Also I don't have a lift so I'm not planning on pulling off the front bumper or front splitter...
This is awesome! Ordered the pump and FP cooler kit (not the entire kit-just the parts I needed). Really glad you don't have to remove the front bumper and splitter.
Right now I have a Shelby aftermarket scoop that I'll probably have to remove to make room for the lines. I don't have...
Correct. I was referring to the metal rivets in the splitter so it looks like those don't need to be removed, thankfully. Thank you for the pic, it is helpful. Anything that makes this endeavor easier is helpful. Called Mike R and ordered the parts today. Much appreciated.
