Does anyone else find the pedals in these premium (or which ever have aluminum pedals) to be slippery as *#&%? Even if I step in water after washing the car my feet are all over the pedals. Its better or worse depending what shoes I wear
If your going to be running a flex fuel tune, just run it until the light comes on and fill it up. Then run it down until the light comes on again before getting on the dyno.
If you have a pure e85 tune, I would try to drain the tank first. Draining the tank seems to be a PITA though
I'm Mike, just a guy from the back woods of Louisiana. Been on the forum for some months but thought I'd officially introduce myself. Loving my first V8. The community here has been great and the knowledge base is unmatched. There is still some days I can't believe that car in the driveway is mine
Has anyone tired putting on the base gt rear spring on the PP cars to see if it has gotten rid of rear bounce? It might not be a good idea performance wise but maybe worth trying
Lets see if I can use this thread to bring up a new question.
So we all know if you have gear whine, these bushings will make it worse right. Okay so using them for street use everyone is running the red bushings mostly. I am wondering if anyone is running only two of the four bushings to help...
My number one suggestion would be go to the track and get some baseline numbers as your car sits now before spending money. You might be surprised how close you are right now.
Here is some food for thought anyway.
Do you mind running your car hard? That is what its going to take N/A. Loud...
I will be putting LCA bearings on my list. Looks very promising with a lot of elbow grease. My links and diff bushing have arrived so I might track test those very soon.
Tired of waiting on vendors to answer questions about disabling clutch protection so I'll just do it myself. I'm a long time...
I normally have it at the apply brake pressure stage when I am two cars behind at the track. It doesn't seem to timeout from that step and it will save you a little headache
Thanks for all the input. I did not consider the LCA bearing because it is always advertised as a component for handling more than wheel hop.
Definitely will be getting new tires, probably wont go full drag setup. Bracket racing is not my goal for the car but I do like to make changes and aim...
My Car: 2015 Mustang performance Pack, SCT canned tune, BMR cradle lockout, 275 continental contiprocontact (all seasons, on the car when bought used), everything else stock
Problem: I take my car to the strip on occasion but my car wheel hops almost just as bad now as without the cradle...
Interesting topic because I haven't seen anyone doing that in forever but this past Friday a guy at the track in a 15' PP/GT like mine had three bags under the hood. Can't say it did or didn't help. He only made one pass with me, we were neck and neck at 13.0 @111
