Quoted for Truth.
I have the Flowmaster Outlaws on my V6 and the guys at the Quicklane at the Ford Dealership rev it every time. The Manager glances over at me sitting there but I just smile. The V6 has a different sound to it but it aint bad.
I have had plenty of Dragonslayer V8s in my time...
You keep repeating everything I say. So I can't decide if your ignorant or messing with me. But I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are messing with me. I am REALLY bored and this is getting fun.
Ok so a history lesson. The 8.8 rear end has been around quite a while. In...
You can order a matte black or gloss black pony for the panel. That is what I did front and rear because I did not like the chrome or the tri bar on the rear.
Some people you just can't teach.
You do realize the difference between 3.15 and 3.55 and up is the ring gear circumference? This is why the carrier has to be changed to accommodate the gear swap.
And now I have put the correct information out there which was my intent all along.
Good Day...
Another vote for stock ride height. It looks great IMO. I have lowered cars in the past and had nothing but problems. Not so much with the drop itself but living with it as a daily driver. There were just places I could not go. And living in the sticks with the suicidal varmints n critters its...
I ordered some stuff to transform the front end.
GT grille upper and lower.
Fog lights off Ebay
Opt7 turn signal housings
Big Mouth ram air intakes in Yellow.
For the rear
Smoked LED side markers.
I also picked up a set of rocker stripes and a set of black lug nuts for the performance...
I understand there is a lot of confusion on this matter. And I see you changed your stance from "the 3.15 is not an 8.8" to "the carriers are different". That is correct the carriers are different. I said that in my original post. I am just going to assume you did not comprehend that. All 2015...
Wrong.
The rears are the same, assuming manual to manual or auto to auto. The difference is what the pumpkin is made of. You simply need the 3.15 gears and the carrier from a 3.15 car. Just like you can upgrade a 3.15 geared car to 3.73 with a carrier and gear swap.
Make sure they are aimed correctly. On the assembly line different people installed and adjusted these so they could be off. Make sure they are not too low.
I love them, best headlights ever. And when I hit the brights I think I can see into the next county.
That steering wheel is friggin sick. I wonder if they can do a yellow like that??
My wheels money may have to go for a different type of wheel.
My MT82 is behind a V6 but BG fluid, Boomba short stick, Boomba shifter bracket really made the difference for me. Also this trans does not like to shift at low RPMs. At least mine does not. Got no choice when its cold but once warmed up and shifting at or above 3k is much smoother than shifting...
Gears. Its my next step. You do not need a pumpkin. Just a carrier and the gears. (if 3.15 equipped)
I also have the Flowmaster Outlaws. They have been perfect for me. Lots of people hate em but I just don't see it.
3.73 gears will give you the best bang for the buck performance wise. Shop...
Those of us who own the 3.7 know what it is and what it can do.
If you look at the specs its easy to see it was built too well and Ford could not have it compete with its golden child Ecoboost.
I love mine. With very few mods the car will lay a patch in second and chirp third. Getting 26.8 MPG...
I am glad you got an automatic as well. No need to have anyone being a danger to themselves and others because they do not have the skill set for a manual. The few, the proud, the stick shift soldiers.
As for the OPs question, its all about timing and that comes with experience. Removing the...
6 bolt splayed main caps. Forged everything (except pistons). It was engineered as future proof but the future passed it by. Too easy to get the motor into GT horsepower territory and Ford needs CAFE cap room for those trucks and SUVs.
Simple and relatively inexpensive to get to 350 horsepower...
