Same issue with 500 miles on the car. I could stick my finger in where the back window was supposed to go into the roof. I brought it back and they said it was off its track and it has worked so far since.

It's possible, but I'm sure the gap is still there. I didn't even really pry it, just got the tool in there to create a hair of space. Once one section got in it helped the rest follow with one or two areas i needed to give it some assistance. Doors, and dash took me under an hour and I'm in a...
I didn't do the full door like the first post, but just the top section. Passenger door was tougher but I used a trim remover tool to help open the gap enough to work it in the though areas.
Maybe to guarantee an imprint (with a cool engine) shove some blankets in that area so it forces the mat up when the hood is down for like an hour. Then go to town.
I haven't really looked into it, but can you have the best of both worlds? Remove the blanket. Then hope there is an imprint on the back side, trace outline with silver sharpie, cut out logo area and reinstall.
