Well my MT82 is not refined. Spent ~$600 getting this thing to be a better DD experience. I came from a fiesta sfe which had better manners, so does the manual on the focus.
Ultimately it was driving a number of GT350s that really made the shortcomings of the MT82 apparent. That tremec with the...
Well a 255/45/19 should be about 28". I have a set of winters that are 245/45/19 @ 27.7". They fit fine, no rub but the offsets are not stock.
Curious why you dont just do 255/40/19 tho and not have to worry about speedo or fitment?
Drove around the neighborhood :)
Drove into town :D
WOT 1-2-3 and i almost cried a little. I hated the MT82 for making my car feel like its $24k base price. Finally the relief I've been looking for.
The MGW is great but didnt really do that much to reduce harshness. You could feel every syncro...
On a 9" rim i wouldn't want to go much more than 255 as the tread width for that size are all around 9". You could look at 265 if you are conscious of the tread width of the different tires you are looking at to give you an indication of how the tire will sit on your rim.
Nitto G2 @ 255/35/r20...
Glad to hear I'm not the only one having difficulty. I cant find the 500s, ExtremeContact Sport, or MPS 4S in PP sizes. Looking for Ecsta PS91 now.
Is there some sort of foreign investment firm buying up all the mustang rubber!?
Remember that there are two control modes available to you. Traction Control prevents wheel spin. If all you want to do is lay 11s then momentarily press the switch to disable Traction Control.
Stability Control prevents vehicle rotation when the wheels begin to spin. Disabling Stability Control...
There is a section about snow chains in your owners manual that i would look at before going that route. I run winter tires (XIce3) and the car is pretty good in the snow; the electronics keeps everything pretty boring for you as it should be.
Looks like the OP bought some Conti DWS for the winter, though on 7-14-16 reported that he had gone thru most of his rears already. Did you ever replace those before this season? Even so, a 285/30/20 all season is going to be a little tough in actual snow.
I have found the torsen to be quite...
I've noticed less initial bite. Not sure if it's more a function of the cold or the snow and slush though. Should be below zero tomorrow, will see how that feels.
Better yet, Yokohama makes an ADVAN in 225/45R19 96Y XL.
A normal GT has a 98 load A/S tire.
Says its mounts on a 7" wheel.
You might just be able to make this fit with the stock floor.
Still not as silly as a i3 wheels would look, too bad the bolt pattern is 5x112, and too bad it would be...
Well the spare opening looks about 27 inches diameter and about 7 inches max height. Hard to find a 19 inch wheel for spare tires but some part of me wants to try the wheels from a BMW i3.
175/60R19, no idea offset. problem is 86 load rating is 1165 lbs, our PP tires are 100 rating > 1700lbs...
