I would say you'll still get a 2017 model since as rumors go, 2018 model has so many changes including some major equipment upgrade to the s550 and the engine is different as well. So, I'll say you'll get a 2017 then.

I agree. It's like rev match function on other vehicles. But on other vehicles such as new Camaro, you don't have to click any paddle, but you still need to press the clutch pedal. The rev match paddle basically is a on/off switch.

it's two completely different transmission. for manual, how are you suppose to program clutch if you are going to use paddles? You would be able to use paddle shifters for manual transmission if you swap in a sequential transmission and program it.
