I just got mine installed today, and man what a difference. The two-step squat or settling feeling when you get into a corner is completely gone. Everything has just smoothed out now. Great product, the way the car should have come.
Exact same sound for me too. I took both vertical links off, lubed them up with some extra suspension lube that Steeda sent me and reinstalled. Same sound. Put stock back on and all is well. My advice, BMR spherical or nothing. I've read in other threads that suggested these may not even be...
Can someone please make a kit to cover all of the chrome bits on the interior of this car? Stick on would be great.
I love this car, but the one thing I hate is all of the chrome inside. It drives me crazy. I can't be the only one? Has anyone found a solution other than vinyl?
I believe that was an issue/complaint about the first batch. They have changed/corrected that though. I think they may even have a solution for you if it's bothersome. I was lucky enough to get the revised model.
That's the one. It's a pain alone. You have to pull down on the trans to get your hand in their and it's definitely the longest part of the whole thing. Everything else is smooth. Just takes time.
I don't know if I could in good conscience recommend attempting the install without a lift, I can't imagine how much pain that would cause lol. In all seriousness though it was only one bolt that caused the most pain for me so it's probably doable with ramps.
I've definitely not had any...
I love it. It's awesome, makes shifting feel amazing, but as you said expensive and is a bear to install alone. It took me four hours with a lift. Definitely recommend though. I wouldn't go back for anything. MGW has the praise and the following for a reason.
Couldn't tell where the sound was coming from till I took a longer drive. I used the included lube and was very generous with it, but it must've wore off? Not knocking the Steeda's at all they are great! I just think the BMR's with the sphericals might not have the issue for people that daily in...
Alright guys, I haven't had a chance to get back under the car yet and re-torque, but now after a short drive over some bumpy roads I'm fairly certain it is the Steeda vertical links squeaking
Might be after some BMR vertical links soon :headbang: lesson learned.
