Wow, this thread got out of control fast. Mid 12’s is not pushing this platform hard at all. It’s almost too easy. 11’s can be done pushing the stock turbo - full weight, no drag specific parts. These things are nowhere near as fragile as the FRPP tune crowd would have you believe.
My son and I did the install. Fairly simple. I bought it on the pre sale last year. They recently offered it again at $500 off. Maybe a few weeks ago. Keep an eye out around Black Friday. Might go on sale.
$1500 Vargas
$1000 aux fuel
$500 intercooler
$300 downpipe
$550 tuning and device
Maybe $500-800 on the incidentals. Somewhere around $5k total. Perfect daily driver.
I’ve run high 11’s with a Vargas Stage 2 twin scroll, aux fuel running E85, ATM intercooler, catted downpipe, BMR cradle lockouts, vertical links, AEM dry filter, Airaid tube and stock air box. M/T 275 drag radial. Full weight - nothing removed. Rest of suspension, exhaust and halfshafts stock...
Transmission tune is night and day difference. I don't have any before times, but I can tell you that one night at the track I forgot to put it in Sport mode on one pass and left it in Drive - saw a half second difference +.53 I think. I drive almost 100% in Sport mode now. Total necessity for...
I'm not sure of the fitment of the S197 mufflers, but the S550 GT catback is a complete drop in once you get rid of the resonator. Cost is free to $100. Pipes are 2 1/2" stainless, and the mufflers at least appear to be less restrictive than the stock Ecoboost mufflers. I've yet to see a cut...
I have a catted 3" downpipe to 3" in dual 2 1/2" out Pypes Violator muffler in place of the resonator, to a stock Mustang GT resonator back exhaust. It's a little noticeable during cold starts for about 15-20 seconds. At normal warmed up idle it's not any louder than stock with a slightly deeper...
