  5. In a fever of upgrades

It was a another good Laguna Seca day, your video looks just like mine. My goal was to get a 1:47 also. But alas, 1:48.01...
  6. In a fever of upgrades

I'll also be at Laguna 6/6. Looking forward to seeing all your mods.
  7. Tire Diameter Reduction, cha-cha-cha

Interesting. I feel that the GT PP gearing is a bad match for Thunderhill and Laguna Seca. I short shift to 5th on the front straight at Laguna, and on the back straight at Thill to stay off the rev limiter. I also have to lift going into 11 to stay off the limiter. Moving the shift points might...
  8. Laguna Seca: GT PP Amazes, then chokes and dies on its own cluth

    Clutch bleeding example https://performanceparts.ford.com/Mustang/fr500sownerinfo/Clutch_Bleed_Procedure_FR500S_v1.pdf I used a micro-brewer 8.5 stopper.

  10. Laguna Seca: GT PP Amazes, then chokes and dies on its own cluth

Norm, I'm curious on this one. Someone else on this forum reported that the rotating mass of the two smaller, lighter disks felt like it was less that one heavier disk of larger diameter. do you know how to run the numbers on that?
  11. Laguna Seca: GT PP Amazes, then chokes and dies on its own cluth

The clutch shares fluid with the brakes. So total clutch line failure is probably not it. I have a vacuum clutch bleeder, per the Ford clutch bleeding TSB, it pulls from the top of the master reservoir. So the stock clutch line can trap air in the lower bend.
  12. Laguna Seca: GT PP Amazes, then chokes and dies on its own cluth

The service manager at the local ford dealer showed me a clutch disk that was burned to a crisp after 1 day at Laguna. But that kid was seriously abusing it. Mine has 7 HPDE days with no side effects, so far.
  13. Laguna Seca: GT PP Amazes, then chokes and dies on its own cluth

Those McLeod Clutch RXT Twin Disc's just look interesting.
  14. Laguna Seca: GT PP Amazes, then chokes and dies on its own cluth

Oh no! Will you have it fixed in time for the May 16th Laguna event? Twin disk upgrade?
  15. Is anyone using E85 fuel?

Our LeMons team has used Evil Genius Racing in West Sacramento.
  16. In a fever of upgrades

I'm signed up for Laguna on the 16th. My all stock car will be the "control" vehicle for before and after comparisons.
  17. Stock GT PP Impresses in first track test

My all stock 2015 GT PP is almost matching the best times that my modified 97 Cobra turned on R-Comps.
  18. First HPDE - Oh Nooo

John, You seemed to adapt to the mustang pretty quickly. Your cars "evil twin" now has 7 track days on it. My first mod will probably be camber plates and a good alignment. Ted
  19. Time to rebuild the differential...

My 2015 GT PP has 6 HPDE days on it so far. Mine had a bit of play in the driveshaft, and the dealer voluntarily swapped in a new driveshaft. The diff seems solid still. I'm NorCal also, and I think 3.73 gears don't match Laguna and Thunderhill well. Annoying, but not enough to take the fun out...
  20. Trackaholic's GT350 Experience

It was a great laguna day. I only crossed your path once in the second session, while you were working through your sound issue. That 911 you mentioned and I were just behind the corvette that lost oil right before lunch. It puffed some smoke, so we didn't get surprised.
