  1. A/C Evaporator Factory Defect

Thanks for that, based on my photo and where the hot air is concentrated, I suspect the issue is with the gasket around the hole for the HVAC lines. I suspect its just a bit of damage to the gasket/not 100% sealed, rather than completely missing, because as you say, in that case it would...
  2. A/C Evaporator Factory Defect

Thanks for that, will have to check out the shifter seal, as that's quite possible. I have attached an image of my car after being "dismantled", as you can see, pretty much everything between the firewall and rear seats was removed
  3. A/C Evaporator Factory Defect

A question for any of you guys that have had the interior of their car totally dismantled in order to replace the evaporator; once the job was completed, did you have any issues with hot air entering the passenger side foot well, from the engine bay?. I have had this issue since my evaporator...
  4. Solo Performance GT exhaust systems review - updated with photos/videos

Finally Joined The Family Its taken me quite a while, but I have finally joined the Solo Performance family. My Mach XV arrived late Thursday afternoon, it was very well boxed up and survived the trip from the US all the way down under to New Zealand without any issues or damage. Just did the...
  5. Meanwhile In Pukekohe New Zealand

Congrats Mate, you will love it. I've had mine since Jan 2016, and I'm still in the "Honeymoon period" with mine. Good to see another MT on the road, not too many of us from what I have read.
  6. Free maps update with every service

Looking at the dates on the files on the SD Card suggests to me this data was available way back in October 2014. I got my car in Jan 2016, so even at that stage it would have been a bit out of date. Looks like I will be chasing up my dealer for my free map update.
  7. Free maps update with every service

Anybody have updated maps? Has anybody with SYNCH2 and their car for over a year, had its yearly service and received the free map update?. Mine had its first yearly service back in January, but the guys at the dealership, and the servicing paperwork made no mention of a map update. To be...
  8. digital speedo and gear number

sure do, however we don't get the cool DRLs in the headlights, sequential indicators, or hood heat extractors :tsk:
  9. Ever seen anyone taking pics of your Mustang?

Yep, all the time, people taking pictures/videos, complete strangers stopping to talk to me about it all the time. Everywhere I drive it males and females of all ages from little kids to the elderly stop and look. My car was delivered a year ago now at the end of January 2016, and I can now say...
  10. Changing Manual Gear Knob

I was after that old school cue-ball look. Was looking at the ones on CJ's website, then luckily came across Speed Dawg Shift Knobs. I was able to get exactly what I wanted: bright red, with running pony emblem either side, correct shift pattern, and with the cut out for the reverse lockout...
  11. MudFlaps/Mudspats

They are identical, Jaeger Bros supply them to AM. I initially tried to buy mine direct from Jaeger bros, but their website only had shipping to North America. Tried contacting them about shipping to New Zealand, and Jason I think it was, from Jaeger got back to me and said to just buy them from...
  12. Damage throughout our ownership

drcolorchip Wow, that stuff looks pretty good, has anyone on this forum actually used it?. Is it that easy to use, and produce that good a result. If so I will be ordering some. I have had my Mustang just over 3 months now, and (touch wood) no chips yet, but like death and taxes, they are...
  13. SOLO Performance MACH XV Cat-Back vs Stock Exhaust Comparison Video

Has anyone that has fitted a Solo Mach XV to their GT ever measured the noise level by any chance?. Down here in New Zealand they are pretty strict on a 90db limit, Tried emailing the guys at Solo, but unfortunately they have never tried measuring it. Or does anyone know how it compares loudness...
  14. MudFlaps/Mudspats

I initially bought a set of the RPI guards. The fronts can be installed with the wheels on and are easy to install. They are a bit over priced for what they are, however they do the job and protect the paintwork. I am happy with the fronts, hardly notice they are there, which is what I want, but...
  15. Lock nuts

I am in NZ but guess it would be the same in Oz, my GT also came with lock nuts, and looking at the "my vehicle summary report" from the Ford ETIS site they came that way from the Factory, ie "Locking Lug Nut KitThatcham Whl"
  16. MT vs AT. NZ (10%) vs Aussie (80%)

I also have no issues with my manual or clutch, so maybe there's the odd not so good one out there. I have had a few average lower gear changes since picking her up a few weeks ago, but I put that down more to a driver related issue :headbonk:. Just a little bit rusty, but lovin my choice to go...
  17. MT vs AT. NZ (10%) vs Aussie (80%)

I have been wondering the same thing myself, my last 2 XR6 Falcons have been autos, but for me, my Mustang had to be a MT V8, and I love it. Forgot how much fun and more engaging it is to drive, especially with a nice V8 under the hood. My only thoughts are that a lot have been ordered by those...
  18. Taking off in second gear

I haven't come across that myself in the manual, and have only be taking off from standstill in first. With the torque of the engine it would be easy enough to take off in second, but I would also be worried about premature clutch wear. I actually drive a 6 speed mitsi fire truck sometimes as...
  19. Molded Splash Guards?

I ordered the RPI Designs splash guards, installed the fronts no issue and generally happy, I hardly notice they are there which is good, although they do seem prone to getting small stones stuck between the flap and fender. The rears are another issue though. Have now given up on those. The...
