Have a similar issue, sometimes going forward while turning, sometimes when just backing out of a parking space or my garage. If anyone finds out what this is and a fix, post!
Most of these posts are NOT tire skip. Most are NOT PP cars, not a noise coming from the diff at all. This is a front suspension issue, some on the drvr side, some on the pass. side, but all in the front and very noticeable. I have had it more lately, but it never gets below 40 here, mostly in...
I just realized the other night that my driving lights turn off when the turn signal comes on in that corner. Saw it happen in the reflection of my car in the rear end of the SUV in front of me.
I have the same noise, only mine comes from the passenger side. It has been getting worse lately. I used to think it was only in cooler weather, but it never gets below 50 here! So, that's not really it.
But now, the sound is more often, not just backing out turning, but when starting out...
And it should stay open! I have that sound too, and it most certainly is NOT coming from the diff. It is coming from the front suspension. Front right to be exact.
Anyone else have this?
Mine has started doing it quite a bit more now that we are down in the 40's & 50's night/early am. I can...
OK, do here are mine:
1) I get the same snap and have blamed that same black plastic sheet Davekro posted above. Not every time, but maybe once a week or so.
2) I also had that same 10" plastic molding come loose once. Has been fine after replacing it.
3) I have the support rod problems...
I checked mine last night and neither side is connected. I didn't get a chance to go 1/2 way up and check for the rods down in the wells, will do so this weekend.
Looks like I need to visit my dealer again.
bbjan38, where did you purchase your grommets? I need to try this fix. That creaking sound drives me crazy. You said 1/2" diameter, 1/4 inch hole, right. How thick is the grommet?
Great! I have the old one from my 2012 on my car now, but the base of it is a bit larger than the base mounted to the car, leaving a slight gap. I filled that with a rubber washer, works, but not perfect. I would go for a new one today if it were available.
My dealer was a much better experience as well Rickycardo!
There's a covered drop-off area, someone met me at the car immediately, walked me to his desk, got ppwk done, then took my key to the mechanic who took the car to his bay. I waited in a nice lounge, got a coffee and a great hot dog...
That price is actually very close to what I paid to have them put on my vert. $400.00 for the install labor and 115.00 for the 4-wheel alignment.
I watched the mechanics do mine. It was quite involved and I would never want to do it without a lift and air tools. A torque wrench too is needed...
P4RKER, did you remove the plastic cover? Or, can you just loosen the 2 barely visible nuts on the front side of the latch? Are those studs fixed on the back side?
Absolutely no leaks. Granted, I am in So Cal and rain is scarce, but we have had some. Plus, I wash the car at a high pressure self wash and nary a drop inside yet.
As for products on the top...upon advise by an experienced upholster who does convertible tops for a living, nothing but H20...
For you guys who adjusted your hood latch, how tough was it? How do you even access the fasteners to adjust it? I need to do this for sure, mine is just as you describe jaxbusa

The drop is harder to do when you have struts installed. Mine is quite tough to latch and when latched, it is slightly below grade on the front fascia. I think I read somewhere that the latch can be adjusted, but that it should be done by the body shop at Ford to make sure it's done right. I may...
My 50 Years Edition has the faux cap also, I use that. But, I can't seem to get my wife to do that. Always have her prints all over the black panel and the spoiler. I try to get back to the trunk before she shuts it, but DOOH, don't always make it.
Cheers!
I have a GT Vert. Had a similar noise in mine after lowering w/the Steeda Street springs. 1" drop also, but it looked lower than that. It was mostly on the pass. side, but sometimes on the driver side also. I could always make it happen running over Botts dots marking lane lines. The shop could...
All the above
I have a Mustang shop in town, they did all my service for my 2012.
I got 10 yrs of free oil changes with my dealer for my new baby. Just did the first one on Tues. They even rotated the tires for free. Nice!
Cheers!
Didn't get the bag!
Well, I got the caps when I picked up my car on 5/5/2015. I had ordered it on 3/17.
But, I did not get the storage bag, so they bang around in the trunk a lot of the time. I do put them on often, but when no, it would be nice to have that storage bag.
Anyone else get...
