Or would they ;) I run 6 different tracks and I can say that the f150 mani has its downsides and upsides depending on the track. Iād almost like to run the f150 on some and an ā18 on others. I think overall the ā18 mani is prolly the best choice out there. But it wasnāt out when I started this...
Sorry wonāt be till Jan when I will have numbers :( but car feels good. The intake is so big I think itās causing some throttle hang, but it may learn as I drive it some more!
Finally able to try out my intake to add to the red headed set child!! Mishimoto tube and a 2018 GT airbox lid. Hoping for about 5h/5TQ over the other 3 intakes Iāve had on the car .
One thing I didnāt really see in the chatter was this idea/mod also started in an effort to cut HEAT. On longer driving stints (roadcourse) I was having trouble staying cool when I was shifting at 7500 to keep the power up. Once the f150 mani was on, no more over heating problems!
It took some digging. No one really wants to sell them yet. It may take a year or so before they pop up on eBay, etc. one would be about $160 from the dealer.
So i noticed at the track a couple weeks ago when a 2018 GT PP2 and a 2017 GT were parked side by side that the intake on the 2018 is massive compared to the 15-17 GT's. So this got me thinking...what if you put a 18+ intake on a 15-17 GT, would there be any performance gains? So I ordered one...
Just had another member measure his GT350 intake tube, and its pretty much 3.8 inches or 96.5 MM from filter to TB. So the 2018+ intake airbox lid and tube is bigger then the GT350!!!
