I know Chris Cox won his STP National Championship on 3.55's. From what I remember him saying, gearing is about perfect with the 3.55's. I don't think he ever contemplated trying the 3.31's.
They aren't eligible to run for points in the street tires classes but you can always go and run for time only and see where you stack up against others.
American Autocross is having their first event out at the old Crows Landing NAS next weekend, the 8th and 9th of April. If you want to come check it out. We normally have a practice course that is bigger than the GG events and the actual course which will be huge. You should come check it out.
Car is looking good!
My buddy who runs American Autocross just bought an all black no stripe R. Our first event is this weekend down in Marina. Still no word on if we got the third location so I don't want to get anyones hopes up.
I think I've seen you driving your car through Springtown. On Bluebell to be exact. But, your not driving like an ass so I appreciate that.
I saw your car there but every time i went over to check it out, you were gone. I was there with a couple friends running their cars. They are all...
I run a battery tender battery in my c5z and it only weighs 3.75 lbs. 5 lbs if you count the mounting bracket. It has 480 CCA and is more than enough to start the vette. You could save more like 25-26lbs if you went that route.
There was a cars and coffee at the blackhawk auto museum today as well. Not sure why they would schedule two cars and coffee at two different locations in the bay area on the same day.
Yes, I've driven a couple different Corvettes and a GT3 with their PASM technology. I wasn't really a fan. There are things you can do to a high end coilover setup that you can do that you just can't do with the magnaride.
Look, I'm not knocking the technology when it comes to driving on...
Parking lot? You must be a regular at a goodguys event. Out here on the west coast we have NASA Crows Landing Airport. We regularly have courses that are over a mile long and speeds into 3rd gear without the possibility of any door to door contact.
Thought about that as well, but those are more unicorn than the GT350R. I've yet to see a base model online that doesn't have the Track or Tech package installed.
You guys need to get off the magnaride koolaid. They aren't the worlds greatest shocks. There are certain applications where they don't work well. Autocross being one of them. That's what i want to use the car for hence my question.
Thanks for all your wonderful insight and stupid memes...
Huh what?! I want to know of you can disconnect the magnaride and have it not affect the car. I'm interested in installing after market coilovers and caster/camber plates. Magnaride doesn't work well in autocross applications.
