  1. Ford needs to rethink the future

If the Challenger GT is a success, twin turbos will get them close to 500HP....I think they see where the market is headed.

  3. 2016 GT350/GT350R Mustang Pricing! Starts at $47,870

Looking at invoice prices you should be able to buy one up north in the middle of winter for about 45 grand. There's always a dealer somewhere with an allocated car the somebody ordered and backed out of. I got a really good deal on my Boss 302 and GT500 that way. Not many people buying...
  4. 2016 GT350/GT350R Mustang Pricing! Starts at $47,870

And I got flamed a while back for saying Ford would keep it under 50k. Priced in the line up just above a loaded gt. I love being proven right.
  5. Supercharger downfalls?

The single biggest problem of driving a blower car with over 500-600 horsepower is this. You will never be satisfied driving something without that kind of power. It's like a drug. Once you try it you are spoiled forever.
  6. GT350 article on weight, price, Z28

If I buy one it will be my daily driver just like my 13GT500 was before I totaled it. The biggest complaint I had about the Shelby was that I couldn't get an auto. An automatic is much nicer since I have a 30 mile commute each way to work. There is a segment of people who just don't want the...
  7. GT350 article on weight, price, Z28

Not offering an automatic is a mistake!
  8. GT350 Mustang Pricing [Update: rumored $52,995 starting price]

The base GT350 will be under $50k!
  9. What are some things you DON'T like about the GT350?

+1. We need an auto transmission option. I won't buy a manual...it would be my daily driver and I can't do stick shift every day.
  10. GT350 Mustang Pricing [Update: rumored $52,995 starting price]

I can't wait to hear one up close.
  11. GT350 gears and speeds

I assumed 3.35 out of the optional 1st gears listed for that model transmission. I agree a 2.66 or 2.97 would be better as long as that would improve 0-60 times. I'm sure there are other factors that affect 1st gear options.
  12. GT350 Mustang Pricing [Update: rumored $52,995 starting price]

In fact I wouldn't be surprised if a base GT350 is around 45k. Just above what a fully optioned GT premium costs (I just built one on Ford.com) . I only paid $39k for my 2012 Boss 302. (In the middle of winter...dealer wanted it to move off the lot). People are going to be surprised at how...
  13. GT350 Mustang Pricing [Update: rumored $52,995 starting price]

Totally agree. It's always been about making these cars "affordable". Sticker for a base GT350 wont be a nickel over 49 grand.
  14. GT350 gears and speeds

You will be able to go from 6th gear to 3rd on the highway at 65mph (rpm will rise to 4800) and will probably be right at peak torque (just speculating) and thing will pull like an animal. I can't wait to test drive one...it's going to be a long year
