  1. Stereo has the screen like it's off, won't turn on and make sound

Radio Problem Thanks for your response Shaay! Glad Ford listens! Just turned 14,000 miles and after it came back yesterday it still works. Will let you know if I have any further problems.
  2. Stereo has the screen like it's off, won't turn on and make sound

Radio won't turn on Mine did the same thing this morning. Got in the car to go to work and the radio would not work. Screen showed temperture, date, and time. Pushed the on/off button a bunch of times. Only Menu button worked. Stopped by dealer to see if they were aware of problem. They said...
  3. The 3.55 Axle OPtion

3.55 I ordered my base 2015 Mustang with the 3:55 gears in June 2014, picked it up November 11, and I have 5,000 miles on it already. I love the gear, and get 28-29 MPG with normal driving. I did not have to buy any other package to get it. I am in Ohio.
  4. Thats gotta hurt.

Reminds me when I was racing a Ford Pinto at Mid Ohio in an IMSA Radial Challenge race back in about 1978 and my shifter unscrewed from the tranny tail shaft and was only attached to the car by the shifter boot. I came into the pits and tried to yell what was wrong to my pit crew, but they could...
  5. Anyone running 19" Front & 20" Rear

Wouldn't the mismatched diameters mess up traction control and antilock braking? I think these systems sense the difference in speed of the wheels to trigger action.
  6. 3.55 limited slip mpg??

I do more of a 70% country and 30% city. With almost 2,000 miles on it now my V6 3:55 car is getting mostly 27 miles per gallon average. It will drop to low 26 something in the city, I have even seen 25.5 once, and then with about 45 minutes of country driving, not freeway, it will go back up to...
  7. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

What Qwkynuf said! I live in NE Ohio and drive mine every day, rain, snow, or shine. I wait for my drive to work each morning and the drive home. It is soooo rewarding to drive it! You wax and polish boys are missing out on the real fun. But to each his own.
  8. What colors would you pick? Ruby red or triple yellow?

TY for me. I have had it about a month now, and I still like it. Both the RR and the TY are "special" colors, and as such may have received more care than the standard colors. The black I saw at the dealership had massive orange peal in the finish where the special colors don't seem to have...
  9. Engine Debate

On the EB I am sure that the turbo chews up the sound and softens it away. Formula One is now V6 Turbo, and no one likes the sound because it is too quiet. Some of the promoters were threatening to cancel their races, because it was not as good of a spectator show, even thought the cars were...
  10. 2nd Guessing While Awaiting Delivery

Pokergeneg, maybe we should start a thread for us more senior guys. I am 70 and my new 2015 TY, V6, manual, 3:55, just turned 1,000 miles. I love it. Lots of positive comments. I love the fact that the speedometer is listed on it's face as "Ground Speed" like there is something else! Traded in...
  11. Engine Debate

I don't agree that you have to drive it over 3,000 to get any power. I can easily more than keep up with traffic shifting from first to third, to fifth, then sixth. Most of my time is spent below 2,250 rpm. When I feel frisky I will take it to 4 or so, but by third gear you are already to 80...
  12. Engine Debate

I bought my TY 2015 Mustang, V6, Manual, 3:55 Limited Slip, as a daily driver. I put 160,000 miles on my V6 2008 Manual Mustang, so I use my car. I don't think that the V8 or EB either would do for my purpose as well as the V6. I haven't seen a turbo last that long without expensive repairs, and...
  13. Track Apps?

No line lock or launch control. It does get the 0-60, 0-100, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, G-force, 100-0, 60-0, and all that. Enough to get you into trouble pretty quickly on the street. It also has the gauges that you can bring up on that screen as well.
  14. WOT run in my V6 UPDATED with 0-60 run

Well, if it ever quits raining and snowing here in Ohio, I will. The day I picked it up it started to snow, and between that and rain there has been little dry time.
  15. 3.7 Owner's MPG Report

TY, manual, 3:55 rear gears with 750 miles on it now. Filled up with 87 octane and drove today from Warren, Ohio to Parma, Ohio and back, with a stop in Aurora, Ohio, on public highways, not limited access freeways. About 130 miles, guessing about 70% highway, 30% city, and my car tells me that...
  16. Base model owners - what do you think?

SYNC gives you information that would be on your phone screen. When you talk to your Mustang to call someone if it doesn't quite understand you it will put up 4 or 5 of it's best guess and have you tell it what one you want to call. Starts with a Mustang logo. Compass is in the top right corner...
  17. Phone mounts, chargers, cables, etc.

I bought a little 6" USB cable off Ebay, in Yellow to match my TY car! I plug it into the USB port at the bottom of the dash, and let my phone ride in the valley there in the console, below the bottom row of buttons, that looks like it was made for it. With the short cable I don't have a long...
  18. Winter Storage

I drove my 2008 winter and summer here in Ohio as my work car and put 160,000 miles on it. I picked my S550 up last week as it started to snow, and have 500 miles on it already. My 2008 Mustang rewarded me with 160,000 trouble free miles which I enjoyed every day. Everyone treats these things...
  19. EcoBoost or V6 Base models

I ordered and now drive a V6, manual, 3:55 rear, TY, 2015 Mustang. I picked the V6 over the EB for a couple reasons. One is that I wanted to avoid the "turbo lag" which is present with the EB I drove, even though it is small. I am a road racing autocross kind of guy, and with the manual trans...
  20. WOT run in my V6 UPDATED with 0-60 run

I really like it! I had a 2008 V6 that I drove for 160,000 miles, with no problems that required the dealer,(I put on my own brakes) and my new 2015 with the manual revs just about the same on the highway. 2,000 rpm at about 65 mph. First gear seems a little low, like a creeper gear, but you...
