I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that. I tried to start a thread on it and nobody seemed interested.
I agree that that straight-overhead shot of the red GT has something at the front of the instrument cowl that looks like it could be an HUD projector. Or a really big windshield...
I worked a year as a car salesman, and as an enthusiast I knew LOTS about what was coming up.
What I learned fairly quickly was that if you got into a discussion with a customer about a car coming in a year, it meant you WEREN'T talking to them about what you could sell them that day...
I'm... skeptical...
That's actually a really crappy place to put such a sensor/camera. The wipers and cowl cut the effective sensor field down quite a bit. Any other vehicle I've seen such a sensor in had it either in the grille or in a pod above the rear-view mirror at the top of the...
Noticed this on the overhead shot:
I'll be the first to admit that this slot above the instrument cowl may just be defrost ducts, but it still made me wonder...
Is this some kind of "humblebrag" thing? Dude, you nailed it. Details like "no chrome on the taillights" would have been impossible to get without either inside knowledge or The Amazing Kreskin.
You'll have to live with the fact that you do awesome work. Move on ;)
At this point, I'm very pleased with the restraint on the GT. Just enough distinction that the ones who matter will know. And who really cares abou the rest? ;)
This wasn't deliberate on AutoWeek's part, and they will pay a consequence. The problem is that it's a weekly magazine, and given the vagaries of the postal service they likely have to game the system a bit to get copies to all their subscribers at roughly the same time.
Ford's press...
Nice. And given that it will likely weigh at least a LITTLE less than the V6, it should make for a nice upgrade.
It got me thinking... It would be cool to see a different trim level for the EB23. The GT would remain the "traditional" V8 muscle car, but how about a "Mustang ST"? The trim I'm...
Soooo, congrats, Chazcron on the perfect renders (including that infamous rear quarter window).
I don't know what you guys are whining about; for one thing, we've had a 99.9% sense of what the car was going to look like for months, so it's not like this is a massive surprise. The only visual...
The impression I was left with from that video is that there will actually be multiple products unveiled the event (at least in Barcelona), and that the teaser pics we saw in the video were NOT of the 'Stang...
