  1. Traded in my GT for a C7, I'm missing the GT..

Same here. I was on the fence regarding looks when it was introduced but I wasn't in the market. Over time,I came to appreciate it more.Fast forward 4 years to 2 weeks ago and I was happy with the deal I got and every time I drive it which has only been 185 miles in 13 days. I'm 66,it's my last...

You're right, nothing happens when you hit the gas. The car stays stationary. I think you mean to say,"the Corvette makes no sense to YOU,",right? Yes,gas mileage. It makes a difference both in town and even more so on a trip. Enjoy those Boy Racer 3.73 gears. Regarding the hood,a soccer field...

1-Uh. 4th is 1.00 and 5-6-7 are all overdrive. So not sure what you mean by useless. It's another reason the 1LT gets better gas mileage than a GT. 2-The Mustang is 1.5" WIDER,so the Corvette is not a "BIG WIDE THING". It's a foot shorter,6 inches lower and 400 lbs. lighter.
  4. Traded in my GT for a C7, I'm missing the GT..

I traded a 2 month-old '17 GT w/PP for a '17 1LT C7 11 days ago. I had not driven or been in a Corvette since 1968 and I was stunned how snug they are inside. It reminded of being in an MGB,size-wise! This is the least popular color,Sterling Blue,1 of 346 this MY year total. Only ~25% of all...

I could have waited on this instead: https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/los-angeles/2019-chevrolet-corvette-zr1-convertible-first-look-statement-maker/ar-BBFTFtl?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartanntp Way out of my league,price-wise.

LOL! They have not been evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. I wonder why insurance companies CONTINUE to insure them at reasonable rates? What is your point? Do those tests determine for you whether to buy or not? I'll...

 Mine is nearly 3x that-it all depends on where you live.
  8. Traded in my GT for a C7, I'm missing the GT..

A pleasant surprise today was I transferred the same insurance coverage to the C7 and it was $20.50 more per month. I was expecting quite a bigger increase.:eyebulge:
  9. Traded in my GT for a C7, I'm missing the GT..

Same here. 3 hands full of "real" foreign (GASP sound inserted) sports cars and 2 Mustangs since June but since I traded my 2 month-old GTPP for a C7 on Saturday,I fall into the stereotyped "douche canoe" league. Kudos to me then. Maybe I should start a poll,mid-thread,regarding stereotypes...
  10. Traded in my GT for a C7, I'm missing the GT..

Mine has Pilot Super Sports. The window sticker says they are run-flats. I'll see what's available when these wear out.

So you're a wannabe Brit or you learned a new word to impress folks here. Kudos. Nor do I care, just like you of course.
  12. Traded in my GT for a C7, I'm missing the GT..

Exactly, makes no sense whatsoever. Plus, the generalizations were way over the top. Funny that he used the Brit slang term "tossers" though. I heard that term nearly every day when I lived in Thailand where the vast majority of ex-pats are Brits.
  13. Traded in my GT for a C7, I'm missing the GT..

Thanks,I couldn't be happier. It really doesn't feel like a base model in ANY way.I got the Sterling Blue with the grey. I was very happy with the music on the way home and amazed that 5-6-7 are all overdrive.Big change color-wise from Magnetic. You have to see the worst sucker sticker of all...
  14. Traded in my GT for a C7, I'm missing the GT..

Having an open car makes a huge difference,at least to me. Our winter down here is prefect for an open car. That was another reason I traded a 2 month-old GTPP.
