I've had it happen before when I downshift to second, wait a few seconds, then mat it. Leaving off the accelerator then rolling into power makes it accelerate fine, so I've always assumed it was TCS telling me nah.
I suspect the algorithm they use for TCS just doesn't like when you cruise in...
Grabber blue with black stripes here...I get constant attention (I also drive with the exhaust in sport everywhere except my neighborhood).
I've had multiple people just record me sitting around at lights.
I kind of appreciate 6th being nice and long, but I DD mine. Sure it's great to get some fun back... uh... road action, but there's times where it's also fine to sit back, pop the shocks into normal, crank the stereo, and cover some distance.
Hence my statement about the market and ADM. Personally it's why I didn't buy an R...the extra cash (ADM included) just didn't justify the differences to me personally.
If I could have gotten an R at MSRP I would have deeply considered it.
But a cold look at how the free market works tells...
Funny thing about ADMs is that it really only reflects the market value for the car. If the market is willing to pay $20k over sticker, that's what the general price will be.
At the end of the day, neither the manufacturer or the dealers decide the price of a car. The market does. And the...
You know what I think is cooler? Real owner lap videos. GoPros. Being there.
Honestly the Boss Track Attack and the Gt350 Track Attack were worth a million hours of Ford sponsored in car video to me.
And someone on here posted their video of a Nurburgring hot lap. There's YouTube channels...
I happen to like the ZL1 a good bit, though I wouldn't bother with the 1LE version for my own personal use.
I just dislike "lap records", particularly at the Nurburgring as a standard of comparison.
I think this quote is kind of operative:
"Supposedly this Camaro is faster than a Ferrari Enzo...
Not to bring back a dead horse, but Jack Baruth over on TTAC has some commentary on the ZL1-1LE Ring time:
http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2017/06/camaros-nurburgring-record-dont-mean-thing-aint-got-actually-dont-mean-thing-period/
Which, I would add, is usually considered an upgrade due to the side effect of additional chassis stiffness.
I'm not saying it's not a fun pissing contest, but that's all it is. It's certainly impressive as to what the camaro platform is capable of, but until someone makes it a wheel to wheel...
As far as I'm aware Ford has never announced an official BurgerKingRing lap time for the GT350, and I actually can't recall them ever using it in their marketing.
Doesn't mean they don't test there, and I'm sure they do all sorts of benchmarking, but it's not an official Ford time.
Also, if...
Ah, I knew AC was an option, but I thought there was no way to get a decent stereo in them. Turns out the glass is just thinner now that I look. But I'll still hold, MT had that thing at 75k plus when I looked, which is heavy dosh for a car that involves that level of compromise on the road, and...
