Just wanted to pitch in and say i apex wheels on my previous BMWs (arc-8s and another csl style wheel). By far by the best wheels I've ever had. Lightweight and durable over some of the worst conditions.

- 305/30/19 Nitto NT01 Tires
- 25mm Spacer upfront

Do all of these wheels require extended studs on an S550?
No sir. Our EC-7 Mustang wheels are designed specifically for S197 and S550 Mustangs, and are user friendly in the sense that no center rings or aftermarket wheel hardware are required.

With that said, we are a very track oriented company therefore it is very common for cars equipped with APEX wheels to have extended wheel studs. There are some cases where extended studs are required, and that would be when enthusiasts install spacers for aggressive square fitments (ex. 11" wheels on all four corners of the car).

For any factory or aftermarket wheel to mount properly with spacers present, extended studs would be required. The only exception would be the GT350, as they come from the factory equipped with very long studs.

No, nothing fancy for me, just an 18x9.5 for the back for my MTs.

I was actually looking at the ARC-8 because they are 18.8lbs. Have you had the opportunity to run those on an S550?

Gatcha, what tire size do you plan on running?

Currently we do not offer the ARC-8 design in Mustang fitment, however we are working on releasing the SM-10 as second design option for the Mustang community. That project is underway and will be complete in Q1/Q2 of the new year.

I will be weighing my current 18x10 wheel this friday, guessing is in the 28lb range. Im gonna run a 285-40-18 MT S/S for the track and was looking for the lightest possible 18x9.5 in satin black.

Currently running an 18x10 saleen wheel with 305-40-18 MT S/S drag radial. It's an almost 61lb combo and was hoping to get closer to 50 with new combo.

Copy that, thank you for the additional information. If your goal is to install 285's out back, we would typically prefer a 10" wide wheel. With that said, that is with road racing in mind, where the 10" wheel would provide superior sidewall support which translates to better handling characteristics. Since you are using this for drag racing, I can understand running a slightly slimmer wheel in effort to reduce weight.

We currently do not have any 18x9.5" ET35 EC-7's in stock, as a vast majority of our Mustang customers prefer the 10" or wider fitments. We may commit to another production run in the near future, however we would need to get a sense of demand from the community to see if it is warranted.

Whats in stock in 18x10 for the S550 in black and ill look them up on your site later to see the weight? Since nothing is available in 9.5s

Does it have to be 35 offset? I see wheels for the S550 offered in the mid 40s for offset.

Our Mustang EC-7 18x10" ET43 is a direct fit at the rear, and weighs approx. 22 lbs. each. These are currently in stock in all finish options, and on sale might I add

Here's a nice S550 track car from one of our authorized dealers WheelsCo out of Canada. Great looking square setup with some meaty tires.

Square Setup:
- APEX 18x10" ET43 EC-7 wheels in satin black
- 295/40-18 Hankook RS4 Tires

Looks freaking great!!! Trying to decide on 18 or 19. Recommendations for 295 or 305 square setup on a 17 S550?
