Lower your psi. Last time out I ran 12.5 in the rear and 55 up front. Our setups were very close, you have a mid to high 9 second car. My best was a 10.6 @ 117 with the clutch blowing out on the 3-4 shift.
Thats the PSI I run (12.5 cold). I was also having clutch issues last time out, having issues 2-3. I asked Ben Calimer, he thinks I milked my clutch too much and it was hot. Outside track shifts perfectly fine =/

What size slick ? If you are on a 28 a 3.55 isn't near enough gear imo. Also what about front suspension ? Consider some coil overs and removing the front sway bar.
Yes; it is a 28. What do you mean 3.55 isn't enough gear?

This is one of the reasons i decided to go auto. At my runway event, that ate the motor, I could feel the RXTHD start to slip between 7600-8000rpm.

You converted to auto? how is it on highway if you mash the gas? How much did the swap cost? Any online instructions of the swap?

I have considered swapping auto, but do enjoy the manual on the highway/around town.

I'm on a 29 now with a 4.09 rear with my 6060 and I think it's almost perfect for drag. When I did the math on the 6060 vs the mt82 this was the same gearing I had with 3.31 and the mt82. I don't think 3.55 with a 6060 isn't ideal for drag. These cars are heavy and I think they need more gear with the 6060.

Where did you get the rear gear from? What did install cost you? I think its relatively cheap right?

I agree. But I was happy with the 2.97 in the 6060 and 3.73 in rear for all around use. 1/4 and roll.

If i hadn't sold my headers and 10-rib, i'd throw it back on to show the difference with head work, cams and built motor.

Ordered the gear from jegs or summit. Installed it myself, but it takes some specialty tools. Install should run you around $400. Find out which first gear you have in your 6060 before you decide what rear gear. For me the 4.09 is good at the track with the 2.97 first. It is a compromise on the street or for rolls.

I contemplated it heavily, but debating where to put my money. I really like the thought of turbo boost controller turn boost up and down at will without swapping pullies.

I've spoken to Mike Malicoat many times, and he was saying I would have to sell my head unit and get a new head unit. I never did get a price, but can only imagine that would be 5,000 plus and I'd have to find someone that wants to buy a solo head unit. I have been calling and emailing often, but he said he's waiting on the info. I stopped bothering him, and just hoping he will reach out sooner than later.
Something is coming that will easily get you over that number and will not cost $5000.... It will be announced soon.

If that's the case, count me in! Cams or other supporting mods required?

Lots of fuel but you certainly don't need to touch the engine. Better breathing parts in the engine are always better, but not required to get you over that hump.
