Since someone (a long time ago) posted a pic of the paint/coating being scraped off the mirror stalk by the folding mirror i've never used the function. Makes so little difference its hardly worth the bother.
So far my ponies have remained intact.

My ponies lasted until I got a snow foam gun.
Never not used foam on mine, all okay still, passanger is a little extended past the line, but still looks fine... When I CBA will swap for my spare. :ford:

mine fold in nice and snug to the door.
Take your's back to your dealer. Something isn't right.
Must just be a UK thing then. Was discussed in the early days and all agreed they were the same.

I think it was said on one of the threads on here, that they are still using the US arms for the Euro Stangs, and of course with the mirrors being a lot bigger, cant fold in so well.
mine you can fold in by hand, but not by a button

Is your car an EU spec or US spec? Can you post a pic of the mirrors folded?

We all seem to have the same issue in the UK so whether or not its correct it is certainly normal ;)

It's normal. In the US they of course drive on the other side and unlike us brits you only ever park on the right of the road. Parking on the left (crossing oncoming traffic) would result in a ticket. This means the left (passengers) mirror needs to fold more as it's on the side of traffic. The right (uk drivers) faces the 'side walk' so doesn't fold as much.

Ford didn't bother engineering it for the correct side of the road, much like cup holders, the mirror motor and handbrake.

It's a feature, don't worry!
